Swords. Tarbs lost it last season until the fimal 10 games. His attitude seems to have changed.

Give him a chance. I think with better players around him he will come good, very very good.

Trouble is, Swords would rather see a team full of Mackies than an unpredictable genius who gets you onto the edge of your seat!!
Taarabt supporters and people like Swords will never agree I'm afraid!!

Technical ability isn't just about scoring goals. How many times did he hit woodwork? Poorly managed and poor application meant poor first half / two thirds of season. Quickly after MH arrival we saw the real player and he excelled with a work rate never witnessed under NW. Awesome player who will only improve.

You are, of course, absolutely right. But Swords will ignore this sound, logical argument and continue to spout his usual drivel!!

Swords my thoughts are that he has more control of a ball, more skill and tricks and more awareness for a pass than many i have seen in the English leagues. Its just a pity that English mentality doesn't cater for these types of players as shown with our national team. We should embrace and encourage players like adel. Have we seen any English players capable of this magic of feet ?? Its quite easy to run from box to box and play a crap pass like Jordan Henderson for example or even our own joey!!

Most likely true Northolt. Adels work rate improved considerably towards the back end of the season covering more distance in most games than everyone else barring barton. Take that fact into account then compare flair, creativity and ability and its a no brainer ! I think he will be a massive player for us next season that the likes of cisse and AJ will thrive on !

In other news the Sunderland lads reckon MoN is in for Danny Graham. If they lose a couple more players I think they're reall in trouble.

Yeah, I'm predicting a big season for him, lots of goals and assists.

Good player, the one Warnock wanted rather than that pacifist Betty!

Those two responses show clearly the difference between a level-headed, well rounded football fan and a wound up, terribly frustrated crank who hears no-ones views but his own.

Colin, I hope you're right about his attitude change. We certainly seen a different player towards the end of the season than we did previously. For sure I'll give him a chance but for people like Queens and I, we'll believe it when we see it first.

Surely that's a reasonable position to take?

Bobby lad, I agree its easy to do which makes it all the more perplexing why so many players find it so difficult to do. I don't think Buzsaky successfully completed 50% of his straight forward passes that a child in the school-yard can do. For three quarters of the season, Taarabt found himself unable to do it as well. Hence a large part of the reason we was up to our necks in sh*t!

Interesting view swords but i think a mixture of bad tactics, bad purchases, bad attitudes, bad disciplinary and bad performances were the main factors in being in the sh#t.

I am giving him a chance! I just think we should reserve the platitudes until he actually does it!

Anyone trying to blame one or two individuals for last season is deluded, the team were collective shyte for probably 50% of the fixtures, that's why we were on the brink...

Totally correct. But some would have us believe Tarbs is above criticism. He was also sh*te along with practically the rest of the team.

He's not above criticism at all but he's the sort of player that you have to give a bit more slack as for every misplaced five yard pass or failure to track his man, he'll pull out an outrageous bit of skill to win a game or create a chance. Warnock wasn't able to manage him effectively last season for whatever reason but his performances in those eight games or so were the difference between relegation and survival as much as Cisse's.

That's the crux of it. Are all the surrendered possessions, strops etc worth the odd bit of brilliance? As far as last season goes, the answer is a resounding NO.

As for the future, well its not been written yet so there's still a chance he'll get his act together.
