Top 6 -no particular order Birmingham Blackpool Hull Cardiff Leicester Bolton bottom 6 -no order Millwall Barnsley peterboro Blackburn Crystal Palace Burnley City to finish 10th
I really will be surprised to see Blackburn relegated, they have just spent 3 million on Leon Best yesterday.
i made that prediction 2 weeks ago- when they seemed to be on a real downer. Looks like they are getting some decent players now.
How nice to have the money lucky buggers, three million on a striker, we can only dream, however i do not think Best is worth that sort of money, way over priced in my opinion.
If he stays fit, could be worth it, because he has the potentional to score a lot of goals. But I would be concerned about his injuries.
Don't worry, the takeover deal should be completed this week and then Warnock can really get started on the transfers. Already signed some good players as well. I can see Hull up there as well but I don't really rate Bruce too much as a manager. There are better out there but you should still do reasonably well
You have one of the best,if not the best manager to take Leeds to the prem, but you need the financial clout to help him out. Leeds with finances and Warnock will be a good bet for promotion the man has done it many times.
top6 Middlesborough Birmingham Blackburn Leeds Cardiff Huddersfield botty 6 BCFC Bolton Millwall Peterborough Barnsley Palace IN THAT ORDER (sorry all you Eagles fans) 04 AUG HAVING SEEN THE PRE-SEASON FORM AND A RESURGENCE IN SEVERAL PLAYERS, PLUS THE NEW BOYS DEL HAS SIGNED, I HAVE DECIDED TO RE-THINK MY BOTTOM 6. I SENSE A TOP 10 FINISH FOR CITY, AND MAYBE OUTSIDERS FOR THE PLAY-OFFS. THE NEW BOTTOM 6 WOULD BE Charlton Brighton Millwall Peterborough Barnsley Palace
Exactly - where we finish (and everyone else) depends to a large extent on the signings made between now and the start of season. I can't possibly judge yet as the transfer activity hasn't got going. With no more signings we would go down.
Well hopefully we can get the required funds as well when the takeover goes through. Most are thinking its gonna free up a fair bit of cash for him to spend on players. How are your guys funds going these days, I think you have got some good little gems in your team but really need to establish a core before you can compete for anything
We have a very very rich owner in Steve Lansdown one of the richest men in the uk, but he is not one to splash it around big time. If he wanted to he could bankroll us to the prem which would be lovely. More interested in a shiny new stadium over the road from Ashton Gate.Spending 30 millions plus on this, personally think it is brilliant, but would love to see the investment on the pitch and a packed Ashton Gate. link here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egqg0JxgntA
Seriously, bottom 6 and relegated from some...?!! Some people badly underestimate our manager. Top 10 or better for me...
Ill have a bit of what your on prem, no chance with the current squad. Three or four quality signings then we might just be surprised, I am hoping he has them lined up.
Red which of our current players would you replace. If say this was our team t the moment? ..................Gerkin........... Foster....Wilson/Carey......Fontaine.....Cinningham Adomah ..Skuse/Morris....Elliott....Pearson/Bolasie .........Stead...........Pitman/Taylor ............. I have even added some replacements, but in all honesty most of the players mentioned above you have said you don't want to leave. I know we defo need a goalie so no need to mention in that position. Sometimes you have a bad bunch, but with the correct training and management can transform. Remember we have been low on confidence so things could improve with little tweaks. I know you want whats best for City but in order to move on we would have to sell. So be honest who would you sell.
None of them, however we need back up to Gerkin who I think was treated harshly along with Henderson both were good enough, but the crazy money laid out on James was a mistake. I think we need another proven goalscorer to compliment the three you have up front,Macormack would be a excellent capture,I rate pitman big time, sadly Del does seem to have his issues with him. Taylor will be good competition for Jon Stead who was amazing those last three months. Jody Morris I do not have a clue what he will bring to the table, don't now much about him,but we need a midfield playmaker to dictate a better version of Killkenny, the problem being he can look and play brilliant one game, then look completely lost in another. I think with those additions we will be ready to rumble.
I would have no problem with that team, but I do think we need more threat, and goals, bearing in mind the squad is much more smaller than last year,we need a bt more quality in the squad. As Gary J once said more clubs in the basket. I reckon two or three signings and we could surprise a few this coming season. I just hope we see a much better standard from our boys than the last three or four years.
