Watching the racing at that bellewestown----what a beautiful place there was an interesting article in the mirror today about the famous coup barney curley pulled off in the 70s there with a horse called yellow sam------he skinted the bookies for 1.7m euro(todays money)----it set him up--fascinating. Also heard that serina williams has been stripped of her new wimbeldon crown-----at the after match routine drug medical---they took off her shorts and found 9inches of crack
Have to say that Frankel's maiden has produced some cracking horses. As well as the front two, Genius Beast was 3rd (went on to win a G3 and G2 placed) and a certain Colour Vision was further back in the field.
Back from Sandown or should that be Saanndann with the amount of geezahs out and about. Still picked up a cheap ticket off of one of them so can't complain too much. Nathaniel was mightily impressive in the Eclipse and it's looking like an exciting renewal of the King George and QE stakes if we can get SNA v Nathaniel v Sea Moon over 12f. On a personal note I broke even on bets which is a little disappointing given that I had a 16/1 winner - Falls of Lora - (oooh dirty aftertimer!) but that was the only return of the day and I got a bit steep into Bonfire and paid the price for not going e/w on about 4 others. What a kick in the teeth to the Derby form hey? Would it surprise anyone if Camelot wins his St Ledger and disappears to the barn? Especially now Montjeu is gone. I would like to say that I thought Frankie Dettori rode really well today as I know he sometimes gets some stick on here. In other news the women were looking as lovely as ever and I discovered a really nice bitter they sell on the course.
