Andy Murray can write his name in Gold if he can see off Roger Federer tomorrow. Fred Perry was the last Briton to win the championship at Wimnledon in 1936. Come on Andy you can do it.!
Can't see anything other than a Federer win. Too much pressure on the Scot. Federer been there, done it and got the T-shirt. Anyway, how much support do the Scot's give us in football? None. Come on Federer!
I'd rather Murray win it so it is someone different but couldn't give a **** about him being British. He's clearly stated in the past that he is Scottish and only plays for himself, plus he is a bit of a cock
"Andy Murray, now Britain's tennis number one, said that he would be supporting anyone other than England " ( 2006 world cup.) so he can go and **** himself c'mon Federer
Until yesterday the last person to lose to a Brit in the semi final at Wimbledon was later killed in the Battle of Stalingrad in WW2...............sums up our tennis success in recent years!
Of course there's another Brit in a Wimbledon final; the Doubles. Jonathan Marray & Frederick Neilson BOTH Liverpool supporters it's announced as I watch it. Been broken in the first set though.
Yeah I still remember his comments about supporting Portugal in the World Cup and not shaking any royalty's hand if he won Wimbledon. All this screams of your average snotty nosed Scottish teenager. Maybe he's grown out of that, or maybe his PR team have shaped him up a bit. It does annoy me that many people support him south of the boarder when he's shown disdain for them. There is a part of me that wants him to win because he is still representing Britain and I don't want him to let the flag down!
This applies generally when it comes to England and neighbouring countries. The English generally want to see Scotland, Wales, N.Ireland and Rep. of Ireland do well but none of them want us to do anything
And they won! Won it in 5 sets and that means that whatever the outcome tomorrow, we will have had a winner at Wimbledon. For the first time in about 40 years... Congratulations to Jonathan & Frederick!
