I thought he was fairly ineffective in apps last season Spurf, he looked good a few years back because of his high energy, getting challenges in and finding good positions, at 31 thats gone, I'm not sure he offers much after that.
I bow to your greater knowledge on this Smart, I haven't seen much of him in recent times, but he always looked a very solid player to me.
The fact you say you haven't seen him much says it all! I only gen up on United players incase I need to shut Luke up!
Good move for them, I think. He's 31, but he's a hardworking professional with a good engine, a great work ethic and plays some good stuff at times, too. The Korean media will make camp at Loftus Road now, as he'll be a regular starter. If they can sign his fellow countryman Ki Sung-Yueng too, then it could be a great move for them in that market. Two good players, but with an added bonus of a potential financial boost.
Used to have a good engine, one of his spark plugs is going now! I think its more about the latter, getting the name into the far east in a commercial sense, slightly ambitious, but there you go.
The award for most ridiculous rumour of the summer goes to.... "@NewsWHUFC Update(It's a good one): West Ham are interested in signing Van Der Vaart, nothing more at this stage."
On the topic of VDV... http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11675/7879607/Arnesen-keeping-an-eye-on-VDV VDV has said before he wants to finish his career in Germany and seeing as how Hamburg was his original club - if they start making enough noise then unfortunately, I'm with Roo on this (see top of page) - I don't think Rafa will be with us next season - I'll be incredibly disappointed if he goes though. -------------------- In other news, Oscar has said no to Spurs and Leandro (despite being the subject of a 3rd bid according to today's gossip) has said he wants to stay with Internacional. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11675/7871438/Oscar-confirms-Spurs-interest I think we should give up on Damiao - he's clearly a good player but he's said no a fair few times now - our time searching for a striker would be better spent elsewhere I think. ------------------------ And finally - http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11675/7875696/Fryers-agrees-Spurs-move I'll wait for official confirmation before I update the list though.
Karen Brady?? You ARE joking? She's a 5-6 pinter, at least!! And that's for me, and I'm older than her!!..
Khumalo has confirmed that he's joined PAOK on a season long loan. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11661/7880599/Khumalo-happy-with-PAOK-move
- Luka Modric's wikipedia page has been updated - according to that we've accepted a £38.7m deal for him to move to Arsenal
You can only talk about female tennis players as a posh **** as they have something in common ie forehand backhand forehand backhand forehand backhand juice.
Umm- this the summer transfer thread isn't it? Well I just found this piece thought was funny: "Swindon Town manager Paolo Di Canio has confirmed he is hoping to bring Tottenham Hotspur midfielder John Bostock back to the club on loan. Di Canio also suggests Bostock could do with losing a few pounds"! Possibly off his head.
