    News today that Papis Cisse has not been selected for the Senegal Olympic team meaning we will have a 100% fit player ready for the start of our very busy season.

    I reckon Newcastle probably gave them an ultimatum - take him now or take him in January...With Senegal playing Ivory Coast, there's a fair chance we might not lose him at all!

    Agree with that! I imagine they would have gone to Senegal with the 'either, or' scenario too.

    Shame for Senegal, but as a selfish Toon fan, all I can say is "Get in!"

    Great news. I know some people think the prestige of them playing in big events brings the club balances the risks, but it really doesn't! This is good for Newcastle and Senegal are of no concern to us. If it were England (or Britain in this case) fair enough. Combined with the ACON news, its been a good few days regarding our african lads.
