Jermaine Beckford's agent has said Beckford isn't leaving Leicester and he is looking forward to returning to pre season as our number 1 striker I would fancy our chances alot more with Beckford here then leaving but he has to show the right attitude and listen to the manager. Hopefully he gets his head down and works hard for the team http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11712/7879937/Beckford-exit-ruled-out
Pearson is the kind of guy that can up his workrate and get him scoring goals more regularly. Don't see much room for Schlupp and Waggy next season with Beckford, Nugent and (possibly) Vardy in front of them.
Happy for him to stay providing he shows the form of the 2nd half of the season. Although I'm not sure about the 'number 1 striker' thing. I hope he doesn't genuinely feel that way because that wouldn't suggest the change in attitude Proud was mentioning.
^ yeah but he does need confidence, im happy with that. Id prefere him next to heskey than nugent though. Not saying that i would drop nugent there though.
Nugent, Beckford, Vardy and Waghorn would be class for us With 7 subs again we can carry an extra striker. Jeff Schlupp will be out on loan
That statement is not worth the paper its not written on..... monday is a new week....things change very quickly, why ask for a move and lose money...sorry there are a lot of ifs and buts in these replies...that says it all for me...
I agree. Get your head down & show the npower you´re a real threat. I want 20+ goals from him this season & the same from Nugent with a couple of MIDs chipping in with 10 each... should be enough for promotion as long as the GK & DEF are on form
i dont rate him at all really, i only think he is of use next to a heskey-style striker. sign him up NP!!!
I just can't see him being here at the start of the season. I think his wages alone may mean he's shipped out.
Tbh, with Pearson cutting the wage bill, its always looked as though Beckford would be gone, but you never know, Nigel might see him as our 20+ man next season.
Given a decent midfield to provide him with the chances I'm pretty sure old Beckford will bang in the goals. That of cause depends on us having a decent midfield this coming season!
It's not unusual for players to stuggle in the first season with a new club and then find their true form again the following season.
I'm happy for him to stay, and provided the midfield gives him the service i'm sure he will deliver,as long as Wellens and Gallagher are not playing i'm sure things will be fine..........
anyone think that maybe a striker for of nugent and gallagher or heskey and gallagher could be a force?? maybe?
