With apologies to any of George Kirbys family. Daily Mail (no did NOT buy it) claiming a players 'backlash' over SDs departure. Any of his fans planning similar reaction ???
I can't see a backlash from the players. Yes, most will obviously be upset at SD's departure, especialy in the way it seems to have come about, but I'm pretty sure they will all be giving 110% to impress the new gaffer. Lets face it, quite a few of their WFC careers may be on the line too.
Not Happy!!!!! I wont be happy unless the results this season eclipse those of last season. We all know how long it took to gell last time and i dont want a repeat of that!!!!! If we do not make the play-offs this season i will be fuming to say the least.
I'm sure the club will spare no effort to try and please you !! Players generally have reputation for looking after 'emselves these days, surely no connection dear Daily Mail that you publish this and the new owners happen to be Non Brits ?
Oh dear Dan, I have a feeling you may be left rather disappointed then come the end of the season! I will be happy with a mid table or above finish as long as the team shows good football and progression.
He bought the best out of a lot of the West Ham players, but was tactically inept at times, and when plan A didn't work he didn't know what to do, but that comes with experience IMO, and most fans were a bit gutted that he didn't get another season to learn and we got lumbered with Grant, and the rest is history. I hope he shows G&S they made a mistake in terminating his contract. good luck for next season.
There is a lot of good feelings about Zola and his time at West Ham. Another article worth a read. http://www.sabotagetimes.com/footba...an-on-why-zola-will-succeed-with-the-hornets/
For once I am looking forward to next season and with far more optimism than is the usual case. There is a very good chance that we will see some decent football and I expect the gates to increase by about 25%. Personally I think that this has turned out to be the ideal scenario and can only see positives. SD leaving is a shame but probably for the best for all parties. The Pozzos want someone who speaks their language, knows both Italian and British football and is in it for the long haul - Zola ticks all the boxes and is the logical choice - SD is an unknown quantity. All the very best Sean.
With Deeney out do you think Zola might form a good partnership with Iwelumo and be player manager? Talk about little and large !!! Mama miaaaaaaa........
Veery sad to see Dyche go but Zola didn't sack him so welcome on board Gianfranco and good luck. I would like to see an English scouting network to help him as signing this year's version of Vega, Galli, Issa and Blondeau really isn't going to cut it. Most teams get promoted on the back of hard grafting players with a touch of class / craft. That's what we need.
Indeed welcome Franco, as you say H, we can now look foreward to the seasson. Hopefully the PR will start to improve as well!
