I always thought those adverts were self deprecating. A bit like your celebration <ok>

If they were slightly humorous or witty I might have let him off.

I'm not asking for the world, they don't need to be a Kafka inspired piece or something Monty Python would be proud of.

Just not something totally devoid of wit which makes an England legend look like a complete ****.

Which, in case you hadn't noticed, they do.

    They really do.

They are .. but not everybody appreciates that .... to be honest he was a fairly **** presenter when he first started but has got better over the years ... I think you have to applaud him for being bright enough to have a second careerr after retiring from playing ... if that includes sending himself up it's been worth it ...

Yes I have grasped that fact.

Does that mean they have to be so embarrassingly bad?

I think the point is Proud, that some people would rather have remembered him purely as a football legend ... and I get that ... for me the adverts don't diminsh that ... but I do get it ...

Jesus, if it's not bad enough you Hull fans are extremely jealous of our far more successful club, our outstanding stadium and our bigger fanbase, but also of the fact that we have genuine legends associated with us too. Who cares about Walkers crisp ads? They're far from the worst on TV and Gary shows what kind of gent he is by allowing himself to be sent up every time. If the ads were that unpopular, they wouldn't have been running for well over 20 years. You just have a negative view on them because they are vaguely Leicester City related which is ****ing hilarious and sums you clowns up perfectly. <ok>

    I think they're funny.

Not everyone has to take themselves too seriously.

You should know, with your 'Mauled by the Tigers' dance routines <ok>

Nope. I have a negative view because they're up there with the very worst on TV.

Anyone who finds them remotely funny must be a bit simple IMO.

Look, GL in footballing terms is an England legend and I just think it's a shame he feels the need to make a fool of himself for a few quid.

If he'd done a few and knocked it on the head fair play but FFS enough is enough.

Give it a rest Gary, it's gone beyond boring.
