I disagree on this, Berbatov slows the pace of attacks down considerably, yes he is technically good but I don't think he would fit in well at all.
Even Chamakh has written Chamakh off based on his recent performances. He's lacking in confidence and barely seemed to be putting the effort in which is my minimum requirement in a player for any team at any level. He needs to be the sort of player who plays week in, week out but I don't think he's good enough to do that unfortunately. He's not a bad player, just an average one and lacking in belief.
Maybe, but I think he was a very good player before joining us, but has been mismanaged. He can be a very good player again.
Chamakh was good enough to play week in week out when he first joined us and he also scored plenty of goals
What do you guys think about Michael Owen. I've always wanted Arsenal to buy him but for some reason he's always been overlooked. Yes he's had his problems with injury but when fit he's still got pace and still a great finisher.
Wenger ain't gona buy another big named striker at a big price. That's just the way he is. So Owen would be a very cheap solution. I still think he's quality and would defo be better the Berbatov. Another option (if he dosen't go) would be to stikc Walcott up front. Also we still need to build defensively. We are not strong enough
Owen would certainly be cheap. I don't think you have the same grasp on what we want for Arsenal as most of the rest of us.
In fairness Ba played a lot for Newcastle last year (yes I know he has a dodgy knee) but his class is there for everyone to see.
No problem. Just wanted to share my thoughts. But it's still worrying that we seem to have a long term strategy that is getting longer. RVP going doesn't worry me, it just annoys me that he forgets what Wenger and AFC has done for him and stood by him through his troubles and injuries. Is he likely to play a full season next year or even likely to be a regular player at either City or Utd. I still think the way we finished last year we will be there or there abouts next year.
Owen would fit in very well. Briefly great, but very over hyped and declining rapidly, yep sounds like a perfect match with Arsenal.
Whoever is deleting posts better grow some balls and say something. Also, they better have a ****ing good reason apart from a puritanical dislike of naughty words. That is, after all, why we have a filter. If you pm me, I will post it in the public forum, so don't bother hiding Thanks
