Sky have announce their first round of televised matches. Here are the ones that involve Fulham - http://www.fulhamfc.com/Club/News/NewsArticles/2012/July/LiveOnSky.aspx
I have to say it always really winds me up when Sky changes the fixtures to televise games. I’m not so against them changing the times of weekend games such as a 3pm to 5.50 pm KO date but I think it’s wrong that they can move the date of the game. Away fans really suffer as to make the best of public transport rates and (if you want to make a night of it) accommodation you need to book up in advance. Then the to55ers at sky move and it screws up your plans and our out of pocket. I think it’s bang out of order. It happened to me last season going to UTD away. The game was scheduled to be a Saturday and as both us and UTD were out of Europe it wouldn’t have been rescheduled for those reasons so we booked the tickets, travel and accommodation for SKY to move it. I got a refund on the ticket but the rest I lost. I felt for the Liverpool fans the last two seasons as their game at the Cottage has been moved from a weekend to midweek game the last two seasons. That’s a long way to travel midweek. I know Sky put a lot of money into the games but as far as I am concerned it with the exception of improved facilities at a lot of Stadiums (which I’m not that fussed about) the real fan doesn’t get that much more from it. I think they are bag out of order… I think before the fixture lists are publicly released they should decide what games they are going to show for the entire season, not the first few months. Then (baring match day changes due to europen commitments) you know when games are going to be played. Anyway that’s my rant over with…
Couldn't agree more TMHAL. At least this year both Sky and ESPN have opted not to screen the ManU game. No surprise with ESPN though; roll on BT.
I don't mind the later kick offs- Sunday 4pm is a favourite, but 12.45 and 1.30 don't allow for the same pre-match enjoyment
I'm the reverse. An earlier kick-off make it easier for me to get my eldest home at a decent time. If it's a Sunday game (with school the next day), that's often the decisive factor in whether we decide to go or not, but that's just because we're not local. I don't mind them changing dates and kick-off times up until the point tickets go on sale. After that, they shouldn't make changes. They do, of course. As Bob Dylan put it, 'Money doesn't talk, it swears'.
I'm the opposite. I'd much rather they changed the date than the time (so long as there is sufficient notice). Early kick offs absolutely do my head in. Id much rather a game be rescheduled from 3pm Saturday to 3pm Sunday, than 3pm Saturday to 12.45pm the same day
