Absolutely. Sky F1 aren't aiming at fans, just figures. That's why they're really boring, it's all flash graphics and cheap totty. I can't even call it style over substance because, for all the cash they have, it just looks really cheap.
I don't get BBC feed or the Sky pre-shows so all I can really go by is the Sky race commentary. Croft is an idiot. His metaphors and cliches are getting worse and worse and his shouting is unbearable. He asks these melodramatic, hypothetical questions that no-one really cares about ("And there's Rosberg locking up into the chicane!!!! How much time???? How much pace??? And how much grip has he lost there??? OMG I'm wetting my pants!!!") It's no wonder Brundle isn't as enthusiastic as he was with Coulthard. He has the same sort of attitude as he did when he was with Legard and Allen (having said that, I always liked Allen). I like that I still get to listen to Kravitz and personally, I think Natalie Pinkham is a big improvement over Lee Mackenzie.
I don't know who Natalie Pinkham is, but a big pile of steaming dog turds would be an Improvement on Lee Mackenzie as far as I'm concerned
I think I'm the only one who likes Mackenzie. I don't get what the antipathy's about: what's wrong with her?
Because she's a constantly **** stirring, all she does is try and turn them all against each other for her controversial sound bite, she'll ask the same question over and over whilst thrusting a mike in their face until she gets it, I can't stand her or people like her at all.
I think Lee and Jake should swap jobs. She's a passable presenter who improves each time she fills in. And for all his obvious flaws, drivers actually tend to volunteer information to Jake when he's interviewing them on-camera. As an interviewer, Mckenzie comes across as a red top journalist.
I was annoyed that she would always ask drivers the most obvious, unintelligent question possible. I was glad that she never popped up much for that reason. Pinkham is Sky's version of Mackenzie and she just seems more professional and asks at least half-decent questions.
+1 Its like she's still on the playground or something... "Jenson, Lewis said you smell, tell us how much you hate him"
Am I the only person to hate BBC and like Sky? I really really hate Edwards and Anderson, both majorly overrated and do nothing imo. I feel for DC as he has to put up with both of them and more to the point Eddie Jordan, the worst person in the world ever to exist. But i'm sure where ever EJ is, i wont be watching.
I wasn't keen on Anderson to start with but these last few races he's really stepped up to his role. Eddie can be annoying but he's very good at getting the interviews others would have no chance of getting, you have to listen to him with moderation
I think it was 2010 that made me hate him. All he ever did was praise Mclaren and put down Ferrari/Alonso. And since then, being an Alonso fan, I just don't like listening to him at all
