We all know it was Markus' dream to see Saints in the Premier League again. Now that we're going to be stepping out in the Premier League for the first time in seven years, I think it's important that we show our appreciation for Markus and how he has made it possible. Me and a group of friends are thinking of trying to start off a continuous "Liebherr wonderland" at the start of the match. A bit like the OWTS at Blackpool last season when 3-0 down, but bigger and better. We should sell out our away allocation for that game and there is no reason why every Saints fan in that stadium shouldn't join in. This will be a great way to honour our saviour in a game that wouldn't have been possible 3 years ago, but for him. MS
Working on it. Trying to find a big enough material to do it on. Anyway, where is the massive Liebherr flag that was shown in last season Memorial Cup?
Anyone going to the match, do us proud. Let the Prem know we're back in style, and all that. I wanna be able to hear you from here in China!
It could be a better idea for everyone to sing in chorus on a certain minute? A minute/number which is special to Liebherr? The start of the game the City fans are likely to be in full voice with it being the first game of their prem defence - 40,000 Man City fans will surely be vocal and outsing our 2-3k away following? Perhaps the 52nd minute? Didn't he pass away at 52 years old?
Ahh my mistake. 62 then, how about a few minutes chanting starting from the 62nd minute? Scoreline aside of course.
And how about a new take on the chant? One Markus Liebherr, there's only one Markus Liebherr, one Markus Liebherr, there's only one Markus Liebherr... Quite like that one, gets rid of the clapping on the wonderland version and comes straight from the heart!
Any banner should have a very strong message written on it, and for me that message is simple: Thank you, Markus
This is important, because most people in the PL know nothing about the lower leagues and are completely unaware of ML's legacy to us. His name deserves publicity.
Great idea to sing his name in the 62nd minute, please everyone who's going join in with this. He may just hear you up there in heaven!
