We don't rely on your teams failings for us to progress, you do this by default, just like you relied on Chelsea to lose the CL final. Last season we aimed for top 4 because of our bad start, your aim went from winning the league to just being content with finishing above Arsenal, even Harry and VDV said so. When we finally overtook you, you were praying we'd lose our final games, why? You needed us to fail in order for you to get a CL place. We earned our CL place, you bottled your chance.
No it means we still are better than you, after our bad start compared to your flying good run and THE GAP. You were above us for much longer than we were above you. You beat us by 1 goal in our 1st derby match when you were winning all your games during our poor spell. We beat you 5-2 after you thrashed newcastle, we scored 5 convincing goals, could easily have been more. We also scored 5 against Chelsea who in return thrashed you by a better scoreline than us. Had Newcastle not had their tough fixtures towards the end, they surely would have taken 4th, maybe even 3rd.
