    Premier League new boys West Ham and Southampton are set to do battle for QPR striker Jamie Mackie.

    Both clubs are considering £1million bids for the Scot, 26, who has hit 16 goals in 56 league games for Rangers.

    Wanted man: West Ham and Southampton are keen on Jamie Mackie

    Mackie could find himself down the pecking order at Loftus Road next season following the signing of Andy Johnson last month and with Bobby Zamora and Djibril Cisse joining in January.

    seen in a couple of tabloids this morning.

    £1m , no way . He is worth more than that to us. Esp the way he ended the season.

    Hope he gets a good preseason under his belt and comes out all guns firing.

    Saying all that £4m upwards and we could deal i reckon.

    No way. The kid is proper QPR. Its not like we need the money, his commitment is the best in the squad and despite fervent debate I think he cuts it well in the Prem, that goal at the Etihad was superb

    A very sad day if he was to leave

    West Ham and Southampton can think about tabling a £1m bid all they want.....means F all, when we would never sell him for that.....I could table a £5 bid for an Aston Martin....wouldnt get it for that.

    As said above, he isnt going anywhere as he has just signed a new contract....also the paper hasnt got a clue, as they think Johnson, Cisse and Zamora are players he has to fight for his position......Mackie plays on the right wing!

    Complete and utter bollocks,he's signed a new contract and there's no way he'd want to leave us to go to one of those clubs.If an offer nearer £10 million came in from a top 4 club then maybe,but Jamie loves the Hoops and is going nowhere.
