The talk is that Leeds are going to make a 'substantial offer' for the 25 yo. Baadif made an offer last month belived to be in the region of£400,000. Brizzle are said to be very interested too.... The deals to bring Portsmouth pair Varney and Norris to ER are intensifying. Reports in West Yorkshire say the Varney transfer is almost done and dusted... I have seen a posting that the deal is done. Final sticking point is the chairman wanting to stay on in some capacity but the new people not having that - seems like smart people are coming in.

Don't like that midfield above, nor Lees at rb. Just seems to be tinkering at the edge rather than change. Would not expect a much different season than the one we just had with that team

Morning all - Personally I would like to see an improvement to the back four which would mean only a place on the Bench for Lee's. I would also hope that the signing of Green was for a useful addition to the squad and fingers crossed we can hope for far better once the takeover is complete.
Not sure if it's been mentioned, but apparently Kenny was spotted leaving Thorp Arch yesterday. When someone asked about it, his reply was "))))" . This morning he said he had a busy day yesterday and now he's off on holiday for three days, so i'd expect his signing to be announced Monday/Tuesday.
He's building fro mthe back, so I exopect to see more a line up of Josh's second one, but it all depends who comes in. The midfield and front line is no different from last year other than Green replacing either Howson or Brown. That does not work for me, it was a lack of control of the midfield and a lack of bite going forward that was the main problem in my eyes, so I want to see a faster player with more ball control than Becchio, and some tenacious big, black midfielders with massive thighs and heart and lungs who will tear around everywhere and mop everything up, while allowing creative players add the icing to the cake. I don't know who Ell, as it all depends on the takeover and then having money to spend. But as it stands, that midfield and front line is no different to last year, and look what happened

I doubt it'll look anything like that to be honest and the back will probably look more like the second one I said which I'd be happy with
