Can't see them paying £15m for a player with one year left on his contract, couldn't believe Thompson's oath either.

If its in the Mail then its not going to happen. He's a good full back-terrible first season and looked nowt like £6 million pounds worth of left back. But now I'd put him in the top 5 in the prem league.

I'm with manageordieal on this one: The Daily Mail is just not a reliable source.

I think he'll move on, but not to Liverpool, maybe Spain or Italy, he's a class act.

Liverpool will go for Taiwo i reckon.

Hes said only a few short weeks ago that he will sign a new deal with us once our premier league status is secure so I'm not massively worried, also we have Shane Ferguson waiting in the wings so it wouldnt be the end of the world as he looks like a class act.

He should have been on LW on Sunday and Jonas on RW.

Agree with both points, bear in mind I said "looks a class act" this is from what we've seen so far.

I think if he can bulk himself up a bit he will make a good left back, his positional sense seems good and he wasnt afraid to get a foot in.

BOOT BOY, didnt comment when I stuck this thread on not606, but do you think that this realy is a done deal? cos if it is, what do you make of your clubs honesty and openness toward the fans, the money, those who come through the turnstyle? at least with shep in charge, you knew it was dodgy after the tv expose. your history is as bad as ours, think all they have to do is ignite the situation, ie SUNDERLAND v NEWCASTLE, to stop us debating the real issues/concerns that we have. but we have technology ie internet now, pony express, long gone, no more seven day or more letter turn arounds NOW MR chairmen, with internet its instant.
