A rumour has popped up on the local (yet quite unreliable) Newspages that Hull City are interested in loaning Ben Amos.

Thought I'd come and get some opinions on the lad as we currently don't have a keeper.

I really like Amos, I think he has a good future ahead of him. He's a pretty good shot stopper and deals with crosses pretty well, he just needs a bit more first team experience to cut out a few of the errors in judgement he can have (not a lot but they do happen, as with any young keeper), I think he could be a very good loan signing for your lads if it turns out to be true.

Sounds as though it would be a good capture then.

We're after Mannone from Arsenal but Wenger being the twat that he is, is insisting on £1million which would mean we have less to spend on strikers and midfielders etc so hopefully we can bring his price down.

I think we'll go for Amos should the Mannone deal not happen.

Amos has a bright future ahead of him, he had a really good preseason a year ago where he featured quite a lot.

I would honestly feel more secure seeing him walk out of the tunnel before a match (even though he is our third choice keeper), than just about all of our second choice keepers over the past few years (Carroll, Foster etc). They filled me with dread and always seemed to have the potential for at least one or two major mistakes in their locker every game...
