Ok, a Bizzare one this, but our newest poster got me thinking.

If you had a child who was good enough to play football, and had been to a trial day at Rangers but the coaches didn't fancy him, what would you do if Chelsea came knocking....?

I'd tell him he'd be far better off at a smaller club who would develop him and give him a chance to progress. Somewhere like Crewe where the emphasis is on the right skills and fast-track into the first team is better than any of the Champion's League clubs who treat youngsters with contempt in the bigger scheme of things...

How many home-produced players have made it at Chelsea in the last five years?...

Sureley you'd want the best for your son...if Chelsea came knocking, id hands down want him to play there....they have amazing youth training and could bring him out to be a great player.......then we could nick him off them when he is better and he'd earn loads.

i'd tell him "wash your mouth out son, and go get your father's gun" etc etc

seriously though, grab opportunity with both hands, he would have worked hard to get that far and enjoy reaping the rewards ............ Look, if you had just one shot, or one opportunity to seize everything you ever wanted in one moment would you let him capture it or just let it slip? Think of the glory, Prem League, at Stamford Bridge, in front of 4250 home fans and 32750 tourists, millions on live TV, 89th minute and rifling in a 25 yarder screamer into roof of net for an own goal vs QPR in a 1.0 defeat, priceless

    Lol, genius Jalfrezi!!

Not a wind up Swords, a genuine question, based on the anti Chelsea hatred from all our fans. That, and a long, long asses close season!!!!

I'd tell him to take up Rugby....

No seriously, go to Chelskum, learn from the top international players, soak up all the info you can, then come play at LR and use the skill and info against them..

Incidently, anyone know Phil Dicker (not a wind up) Captain of Yeading and a few others, i think a while ago...I heard his son signed for Chelski last year or so...? Only 15, been on tours to Germany etc...good local lad that got away !!
