Right lads Its been spoken about a few times here, and as far as i remember.. sometime in september was mentioned in Dublin. Just womndering do we want to try put a few dates out there and see what we can do.. If we give a bit of time maybe a few fellow fans from uk may be able to make the short journey.... just a thought There will also be a trip to LR in the season hopefully
Count me in. I am also willing to help out in whatever way I can. The sky fixtures for the first few matches are due to be released soon so that might help us all decide?
No problem, Cork. What are the games coming up this side of Christmas that people fancy travelling over for? Swansea, Chelsea, West Ham, Everton, Reading, Southampton, Aston Villa or Fulham. The two Christmas games against West Brom and Liverpool may not be suitable as flights at that time of year can be very expensive plus people have family commitments. I would say Chelsea and possibly West Ham would be category A games meaning tickets would be hard'ish to get and expensive for some. I would say Everton, Villa and Fulham (and possibly Reading as they are not far away) will be category B games but a bit cheaper. Swansea and Southampton will definetely be category C games and last year cat C games were only £25 per ticket, so reasonable enough and tickets should be easy enough to get. The following need to be discussed between everybody. 1. What game/s people want to see. 2. Do you just want to go for a day trip or stay overnight. 3. If overnight, what is your budget for accomodation and what area of London do you want to stay in considering that the more Central you are, the more expensive it will be. If anybody is coming to Dublin (from within Ireland or from the UK) and needs a lift from the airport/bus or train stations, I will offer to pick them up and offer any advice or help I can. Let the discussions begin.
Just to add, I honestly don't think getting tickets for category B and category C games will be a problem. If a game is chosen I am sure the Box Office will look after everybody. Thats just my gut feeling. Category A games may be a different story.
I'd love to participate, however my answers to all the questions you have posed are seriously compromised by the on going Ulster Bank fiasco. I'm finding life somewhat up in the air at present.
I've already added my 2 cents worth, reading at home was my suggestion but I'm flexible on that. tell me when and where and I'll travel and can bring anyone with me if they need lifts etc
Any room for a plastic (Limerick on my Dad's side)? Easy trip for me from Luton to Dublin. Have to be an away game though as at these prices I'm not wasting the season ticket.
Thats a positive reply Inkedupp. So, if we were to say Reading, who would go? I'll say yes and bring 3/4 others with me.
Of course, you'd be very welcome QPAAAAAGH. You could come Friday morning, come to our meet Friday night and travel back over with us the following morning for a game at L.R.???
I think nuts was saying he'd be over here sometime in sept. you'd have to imagine at least 1 of our games between city spuds west aaaammmm and chelscum would be tv. maybe have the Dublin meet up for that? I can't speak for tramore hoop but he was saying reading would suit him too. he's gonna dump the missus at the westfield centre then meet us at whatever pub we want.
Being a delared bankrupt didn't stop Seanie Fitzpatrick travelling to Euro2012 and staying in a 550 euro a night hotel. So, thats Inkedupp, BelfastR and myself +3.
I sent an email to the QPR Press office when they published that picture of Tony's plane bedecked in QPR colours. I asked if they would pass on my request that Tony use the plane to fly Irish supporters from Belfast/Dublin to take in a home game. No response.............yet.
