    What if....

What if he stays and we do win something and you fail to win anything and fail to get CL yet again.

Like us, You do realise the trophy droght is slowly creeping in on your club right.

What have you based this on? The fact that we've consistently been top 4 since Arsene took over? What about us having one of our worst starts to a season and you having one of your best seasons, and we still get 3rd and you miss out on Champions league qualification? We've just added 2 quality players and have Wilshere back, you think we're gonna be worse? You better start praying that AVB has a flier with your bunch of losers....

Robin van Persie to stay with Arsenal at all costs, promises Arsene Wenger
    Read more: http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/footba...ll-costs-promises-arsene-wenger#ixzz1zeC68Ku2

The two men are expected to talk over the phone this week as van Persie continues to stall on a new three-year deal worth £130,000-per-week. But writing in his Eurosport blog, Wenger said: ‘We want to keep Robin van Persie at all costs, because we depend on him offensively.’ Piling the pressure on the Dutch forward, he added: ‘I’ve always supported him even in the hardest times, and I hope he will end his career at Arsenal.’

The 28-year-old is on holiday following Holland’s early exit from Euro 2012. Meanwhile, Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood denied that the club had received any offer for their prized asset.
Juventus were said to have tabled an audacious £8 million for the Dutch international, but Hill-Wood insisted: ‘As far as I am aware nobody has made any offer for him and he is away so we are not in any dialogue at all. We're not in the remotest bit interested in selling him.’

Pretty categorical that the big man wants him to stay. You can't get more needed than those words of praise from Arsene.

To keep top players such as fab and rvp, you must be a superclub.

To be a superclub you need to win Champions league

What a **** way to try shoehorn in the fact that Chelsea have won the CL and therefore are now a 'super club', according to your logic. City have never won it or got to close to winning it, and they have no problems keeping their best players. Or, did Chelsea have problems keeping their best players before they won the CL? Did they ****.

Chelsea aren't as big as Arsenal so try all you want, you are still a 2 bob club with a rich owner in West London <ok>

  13. I agree but did he not say that there might be more talks when Gazidis returns from holiday in a fortnight? Perhaps there may still be light at the end of the tunnel?

You know my thoughts on the matter. I think the management and ownership of this great club have no sporting ambition. The record of our owner shows. His US teams do not do well in their respective sports but hey, they make money!!! As for our CEO, well he places his sustainable model above all else. So we have a pile of cash that gets bigger by the year while our key players leave with each successive season. Like I said, there may still be light at the end of the tunnel but if RvP were to go, I for one wouldn't blame him. At approaching 30, the likelihood of silverware at Arsenal is no stronger. Just look at our midfield and the uncertainty over the likes of Walcott who it must be remembered has provided excellent service for RvP. JW's continuing injury scares are a constant worry and we cannot keep relying on Micky like we have been placing our hopes on RvP. We are not there yet but I think the concerns for our lack of sporting success and ambition remain.

I liked the 5-2 against the rubbish .

As he only scored one of the five ...

It kinda blew their "one man team " delusion into the dustbin , even for them .

    Har har har !!!;)
