Well if it's any consolation. It's 32 degrees here already, the pool temp is 27c, I've been for a jog/crawl up the mountain then some more exercise had a swim. Tried applying sun cream evenly on myself as o appear to have a streaky tan an a few red bits.

If the glaziers are to float utd and end up with 66% owners ship does this mean that they are selling 33% in shares or is there someone else holding utd shares?

33% x 100mil = a pitance, x 200mil = a valuation of 600mil on utd, 300mil = 900mil.

I think it will be interesting to see what return they actually get on this, but only mildly interesting.

 

The floatation document is unclear as to the type of share that they will be offering. If they are Class B - non-voting shares then the Glazers will still control 100% of the club. However, if the floatation value is $100 million or over then we are looking at an institutional base which is less likely to accept having no control over the club given both it's potential and its debt levels.

It's interesting. $100 million will only provide a transfer war chest for this season and will not pay down debt significantly. I don't think anybody knows yet just where this is going.

It provides a little stick with which to prod the Mancs but little more at this stage.

Probably not. The Mancs are trying to float a share issue in the US via a comapny based off-shore (typical!). Now the Asian one failed because the institutions turned their faces against having no control and this one will face the same problems.

now if the mancs pay not tax in the uk it doesn't bloody matter where you pay it you are taking all revenue out of this country so you are traitorous scum... seriously though if you think 1/3 of your club will fetch 1billion on the stock market in the Us you are bonkers. 100mil is merely a placeholder, if you are out to pay down debt then if you get 400mil that's an over all company worth of 1.2bil and you are debt free... the up side is the glaziers can no longer rip you off as much with fakery and dividends to themselves but the downside is you ended up having a uk company taken off the uk stock market bought for loans you paid the loans while they milked you and then you are floated on a foreign sotck market end up paying tax in BOTH jurisdictions. (you have a permanent trading presence in england all they can do is run the ww revenues out of the country)

I'm only interested in seeing if it ever happens first and if it does what do real business people rate utd at for value.

the way you hammer on about it you'd swear it was... btw its not his either its merely something he thought be be out there. it was there before they found it or before higgs theorised it as a missing link in quantum mechanics so its pointless to say that.

you've theorized 100s of times that every time the bloody collider turned on we'd improve and it never happened... do i really need to go to old 606 trawl though and find said references.
