The news that Sigurdsson has signed for us and not for 'Pool is very welcome, reaffirming yet again that we are the team that good players would rather come to with the better prospects for European and domestic success in the future. However, I fully expect us to be signing players of his quality. This news does not blow my socks off. Or is that it?

Alan Brazil said he had heard some news that would "blow your socks off" recently. Didn't say what it was, but the guess is the Arab funding that's rumoured.

because of Alan Brazil, I feel like a spoilt child today. Gylfie is a good signing, but after Brazil's comments about socks being blown off, I feel like I should be expecting more today. A bit like a kid at Christmas who didn't get the main present they asked for. haha
