    By Billie Jo Spears.....

I used to play that all the time in and around the Bowling Clubs back in the good old days when I was DJ'ing around Glasgow.

It was my signature tune in Wood St Masonic just off Alexandra Parade any time I played there - lapped it up they did.

So now that I've re-invented myself as a VDJ I wanted to know what you think... could I still get away with this pish? Mrs Rocket says no kunt will even know that song now but I beg to differ.

I always have a wee Country and Western spot when I play a bit of Johnny Cash and The Gambler by Kenny Rogers - is Billie Jo just too far though?

    Help me out here guys.

If it's Billie Jo Spears, it's gotta be "Blanket on the Ground" Rocket <ok>

Spinning the latest country and western 'hot joints' in the masonic lodge - only a matter of time before you get that summer residency in Ibiza. <ok>

You can just picture old Rocket, dressed up with the stetson hat, the blue jeans and the denim shirt, belly hanging over the belt, belting out Stand By Your Man.

Bring a tear to a glass eye so it would.

Then he'd be calling out the line-dancing moves for 'Cotton Eye Joe'.

    Magnificent.
