This is slighty old but I had never seen the goal before. Sorry if it has previously been shown but what a strike. I think given his pace and strength the lad should be tried as a striker before people judge him.

I think he should be sent on loan to a Ryman League club before we judge him. as that would be more his level. He doesn't even look good at Reserve level most games tbh and even Obertan looks like a class act for the Reserves. Sorry but I have no faith in him whatsoever. Should never have been signed imo. We've signed players who aren't good enough in the past and will do so in future I'm sure. Bebe is as bad as any I've seen. Physical prowess cannot detract from basics lacking in someone's game unfortunately.

Merry I have not been impressed with him or Obertan when they've featured in the first team but surely you must agree going by goals like this there is talent in the lad?

He definitely has talent - he's scored even better goals than that before. He scored a 40 yard effort in pre season at Guimaraes that was almost as good as Ronaldo's against Porto in 2009. It's at 2:25 below.

The only problem he has is that he is all natural talent at the moment and has had almost zero professional coaching. I made the point in the worst ever PL XI thread that he has only played one season of professional football to date, and that was at a club that was falling to pieces - they couldn't even pay his wages. Most Sunday league players have done more training that he had prior to joining us this season so it's no wonder his basic skills are lacking. I'm giving him at least two seasons of training with the squad before judging him.

Not really because you see guys in non league scoring the occasional wonder goal where they've just caught the ball sweetly. They're still playing non league though because if you asked them to repeat teh trick, they'd be unable to do so. Bebe has just looked so far out of his depth that the occasional wonder goal isn't going to change my mind.

As Swarbs said give the lad another few seasons of proper coaching and then lets judge him. Obertan sadly is another matter.

I feel pretty sure that he won't be at United in a few years and in fact will have disappeared into obscurity. That's the problem. Not only does he not look Man United class but he doesn't look anywhere close to PL class. He won't even get a game at any other top flight club. Maybe he can partner Dong Fangzhou somewhere? His first touch is poor, his crossing woeful and intelligence in terms of runs he makes are lacking in a big way.

You may well be right, but then people said similar things about Fletcher and O'Shea after some of their early performances and they turned out alright. I'm gonna see what happens next year after pre season.

Bebe has fantastic natural talent but needs coaching. This is a long term thing and I have confidence he will become a very good player. Just have faith him

I have a mixture of views on Bebe but I feel that he still has potential to become a decent player. It's understandable that he hasn't had professional coaching in the past. Surely, if he remains at Manchester United for a year or two and receives professional coaching by our staff, he'll become a player who's worth the millions we spent on him.
