I'd have Suarez and Coates on the phone with him non-stop until he did ( If BR has the budget and it is there).
I think we could copa with it pretty well if we buy the right players or players hit a bit of form. Copa, Euros, ACON, you get the best you will have to deal with one of those somehow someway.
If we signed Ramirez then we'd obviously lose three key players (I'm assuming Coates will have become a first team player by 2015) but at least the next Copa america is three years away so we would have plenty of planning time
Newcastle are closing in on a £5 million deal for FC Twente's Brazilian defender Douglas, according to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf. I think Douglas is quite good and if true, would be another great price for Newkie. Def going into the fantasy prem team in August. I'm comin for throats and heads and all that!
Man Utd filed with US regulators to up to $100m to pay off debts. http://uk.reuters.com/article/2012/07/03/uk-manchester-united-ipo-idUKBRE86219620120703 I have read on their board many times that their debt is managable and receding,so why the panic? Is the mother of all liquidation's on the cards if the global economy takes a further downturn? dave explain mate.
It's extremely complex and yet very simple. In the global financial market that we have, (and are likely to have for quite a while longer) investors are more and more risk averse. Football is a high risk investment. When that level of risk is also associated with high levels of debt then the risk is exacerbated. Now MUFC can point to a recent history of not only managing but also taking steps to pay down the debt. That in itself is good and should off-set the risk. However, future decisions are not in their hands. The final say will be with the Glazers and they will make decisions that are in their best interests and those decisions may not be in the best interests of MUFC. We need to know much more about this application to float and the use to which these funds will be put before we can truly make any further comment.
Ta dave.,i cant say i hope for a further downturn in the global economy because it would hurt us as well as mancs.
Mate the whole global economy it totally ****ed up already! That's the major reason why there are no economic certainties. My advice is just to wait and see what happens.
http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/rodgers-on-luis-signings-season I tend to go to liverpoolfc.tv first, then come here, just to read news, and was wondering if anyone else read this...? Good points and nice to see Brendan Rogers' pov.
ALBERTO AQUILANI will return to pre-season training with Liverpool FC, with the midfielder's agent insisting he has no preference as to where he plays his football next season. To be fair, Page. We never hear Aquilani's own words, it's always those of his agent, put into some media-friendly chunks, so we don't know what his attitude really is. Though it's fairly obvious he doesn't like it over here.
