I was listening to Mickey Dim, this morning, on TalkSh*te, spouting his vitriol against Spurs - again. A Spurs fan rang in and made the completely valid point that Redknapp is not universally loved by Spurs fans, as the media seem to think, and we are not all crying in our beer that he was sacked. The caller said that the media's view of Redknapp was skewed by the fact that he is one of their darlings. Mickey Dim laid into the poor bastard like nobody's business! He went ranting on about how Spurs fans are all "moaners" and how we should be eternally grateful for the fact that Harry got us to be a successful team, finishing 4th, 5th and 4th in consecutive seasons, etc, etc, etc. The next caller was a 'Pool fan from Belfast (so not exactly a Mouser, certainly not by breeding), and said that he completely agreed with Mickey Dim, that AVB was a flop at the Chavs and he'll be a flop at Spurs, and how we should never have got rid of Redknapp. The Mick Mouser concluded by predicting that we would "definitely finish outside the top 6 next season." It will come as no surprise to you all that Mickey Dim concurred with this caller's views. Micky Dim doesn't have it in him to say a good word about Spurs. But he's not the only ex-Pool player to slate us. Lorro, Hansen, Fowler, and Carragher have all put the knife in, at some point. What made me laugh (it was either that or cry), was when the Mick Mouser went on to fantasize with Mickey Dim about the players that 'Pool would bring in this Summer, and how next season was definitely going to be their season, now that they have a manager who, a season ago, was in the Championship. I'm not making this up!
I don't think he ever played for Liverpool, but I get your point. To be fair to him , he is totally blinded by his stupidity to his boyhood team regarding any other team. He plays the comedy, light, silly role and certainly lives up to it, as porky Parry did. I agree the media only rants Redknapp's point but maybe they have a fair point?
It's Talksport, they criticise everyone and everything. To be honest, no-one removed us from the Champion's League, we're out of it because of terrible owners and poor decisions - of our own.
I have tried, but I can't! It's like when you have a boil on your arse, you have to keep picking at it, even though it hurts every time you do.
The one that really winds me up is Richard Keys. I disagree with almost everything thing he says. He'll happily get himself worked up into a lather about something that he knows absolutely nothing about. Plus, he's another one who finds it impossible to say anything good about Spurs.
The only pool that I am a fan of is the one I can sit around with a glass of JD. SD you have overstepped the limits
