    From the BBC Gossip column

    Liverpool have already agreed a deal to sign Newcastle left-back Jose Enrique for £15m at the end of the season. The news was revealed by former Reds assistant boss Phil Thompson during an appearance as a pundit on Norwegian television.

    Since when was Phil Thompson so reliable?!?!

    It's pissing me right off but it's all speculation until it actually happens, which seems likely. I'd be gutted, as much as I am about Carroll but what can you do eh?

    That's the view I'm taking, what will be will be. Nothing we can do about it now, but I'd be very dissapointed in him if he leaves.

    Why would Jose go to a backwards nowhere club like Liverpool, when Bayern and AC Milan are both interested in him. Makes no sense

    50 million for two players that 2 years ago we would have bitten someone's hand off to get 5 million for? Not a disaster in my eyes, assuming IT pumps it back into the club's coffers. We could quite realistically buy 5 world class players with that cash, and with harem back it will be like a new world class signing as well next season. Cheer up lads nearly easter <party>
