****ing hell mate, hope you are fresh out of Uni, being a management consultant based in Bristol is not good news for your career if you are more than a year in, if you are working for one of the serious consultancies that is. We would have offered this guy a wage commensurate with his experience and potential. You outbid us. He did the interview reading from the script. Let's hope he doesn't live to regret it. Actually, with the quality of contribution from the Saints fans on here ( or most of them) my neutrality towards your charming small town club is beginning to wane.
Been there, done that with the big consultancy firm, left LEK a couple of years back, but I'm not here to talk about my career. Or perhaps it's the fact we will have the best training facilities in the country once the upgrade is complete, our vision etc...
To use one of Flyer's logics he only scores against crap opposition (us included at the time). Scored on his debut against Stoke at home. Against us at HQ. A hat-trick in a 5–0 win against Wolves and he scored against Wigan at Craven Cottage. 6 goals, 5 at home and the one against us. Hardly impressive reading. Probably earns more than Papiss Cisse who also came from Germany where their records speaks for themselves. Cisse 65(37), Pog 68 (15). Important to remember that Pogrebnyak played for a much better side too.
Buttner wants to join a club with great ambition and drive,he wants a chairman that knows what he is doing not one that sacks managers for fun and likes to show off his big fat face on TV.He wants a bright, exciting manager to work with not a dull, vapid one like Hughes...
It's swarming with them on here today. Did somebody put up a big virtual '******s welcome' sign? See much more of this type of crap Southampton may make the Norwich list.
*shrug* One of your trolls came over to our board earlier, with a lot of big talk. Naturally some of ours felt the need to retaliate.
Perhaps we should set up a troll only board for them all. Shame, can't remember any particular reason why there should be bad blood between our clubs, and I've got a couple of good mates who are Saints fans. Good luck for the season.
I fear that promotion may have come a year too early for us, we have some good youth players coming through but with no experience. We have glaring holes in our side like on the right wing and general lack of defensive cover and no backup keeper. our 2 midfield guys are excellent and young but do not score goals.yet we are confident (some are a bit too gobby on here, but now we have no competition from pompy- so some wums may be bored)For your fantasy team I would have Jos Hooiveld who scored 9 goals from Jan from defence and obviously Sir Rickie.
