Wilshere's a very good player but I think he needs to button it. His mouth is doing him no favours (although this example is not that bad in itself). Wenger seems to be a lot more liberal with his younger players than Fergie is - I'm sure United teenagers have never had the same media freedom young Jack has. I don't think it does youngsters any favours to give them this kind of exposure, it must make it harder to keep their feet on the ground.
I think Wilshire is developing Wenger's habit of always focusing on the best possible outcome. Which is fine to an extent, but it can lead to overconfidence which has come back to bite Arsenal on the ass before. I agree that it's quite surprising that he gets so much media freedom. Giggsy never even got to give an interview until he'd played two full seasons and won a PL title. But then it may be a result of the power of the players in the modern game - I guess Wilshire's agent would throw a fit if he was banned from giving media interviews. Rafael and Fabio gave their first interviews in April 09, but I think that was through a club translator so it may have been a bit "controlled"...
Can't see anything wrong with Wilshere speaking to the media - he's the new English darling for the media, so they are going to want to hear from him at every given opportunity
Just seems strange and slight dangerous for a young player to be speaking so much to the media considering things will be said that he'll regret and the media's reputation for quoting players out of context at times.

He hasn't exactly said anything controversial though. Just commenting on the game. I think Jack has got a wise head on young shoulders when it comes to football. Plus he's got a never say die attitude that bodes well for Arsenal
Not particularly bothered about what Wilshire said, I only get annoyed at Arsenal players *cough* Clichy and Walcott *cough* talking when they continually say we have learn't lessons only to make the same mistakes again.
