    Good Morning Everyone

The Scratching shed report that the takeover will be done early this week Sounds great, but in reality how many times do things go smoothly for us, lets strap on our seatbelts, we are in for a grumpy ride. Interesting to read TC's tweet saying words to the effect that if Leeds get taken over, administration is inevitable... Sounds like sour grapes to me Mr Carnage....

Luke Chambers is the latest player to be linked to us (and Ipswich of course). He's a useful centre back and their club Captain. Can a team have too many Captains?

Who would you have as Captain, and reserve Captain for the forthcoming season?

With the takeover talks, we have moved up to joint 3/4th favourites with Cardiff at 3-1 for automatic promotion. How many times are the bookies wrong???

If you were invited to a Ken Bates and Shaun Harvey leaving party, what presents would you get them, and why?

Good morning Elland and all joining

Administration is a possibility, very doubtful and what makes me laugh is leeds fans assuming that we are all of a sudden going to become rich, that probably will not be the case. A takeover is still necessary though IMO

I reckon that'd be a great signing, I'd feel a little sorry for Lees as I think with his performances last season he has earned a starting place or at least the opportunity to prove himself even more before others get the chance but would be a great signing nonetheless and free as well. And no I do not believe that a team can have too many captains, leadership is important and stable minds are as well, this is what leaders bring to the team. I do like some youth in there as well though and captains aren't normally too young

I would personally be looking to buy a captain or reinstate it with Lonners (assuming he stays and we don't buy Kenny) or even Pearce could be a good bet, I don't think Snoddy is captain material whatsoever and I think Colin is only making him captain because he thinks he is greatest thing since sliced bread

Yes, bookies always get it wrong. There is no way they can justify that. Although bookies normally work in the way that the majority bet is the favourites rather than who is most likely. I think it just means a **** load of leeds fans have gone and put money on us getting auto promotion with all the takeover talks.

Morning Josh, I'm not a fan of a goalie being Captain, but lets see what happens

Morning all. I'll believe this takeover/injection of cash when it finally 'kin 'appens. Captain for the forthcoming season, I'd still keep Snoddy, as much as an encouragement to extend his contract as anything else.

Morning All - Once the takeover is in place and team assembled I think a playoff spot would be our first target, it doesn't matter how good the players are on paper we are going to have to give them time to gel as a team and I dare say we will have a bumpy ride while players settle in. Best part of a takeover could be that we keep Snoddy and White, at least that would ensure a bit of stability.

I agree with Snoddy and White but would rather see Clayton stay. Don't necessarily think players will need all that long to gel though. Warnock seems to really know his stuff and would hope we can hit the ground running. Important to hit the front in the table as soon as possible. Probably just dreaming of course

TC, Sheikh Mahandy??? Heyho, the jokes have started & we can't be sure that this takeover/injection of cash will actually happen.

Leaving present for Bates & mates (I include Lorimer!)? Vintage arsenic, served forcibly. A perfect end - so the bastard doesn't enjoy his ill gotten gains & the others get their comeuppance for supporting him. Bitter? Not me ... <whistle>

Btw, LUST have confirmed that we're looking at 'Middle Eastern interest' & 'with a British representative'. Guess the yanks that were over were the ones doing the catering contract.

It looks like Neil Warnock is set to get his man with Leeds close to agreeing a fee with Queens Park Rangers for goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, Sky Sports understands.

I think that Kenny and Peltier are done deals just awaiting the takover.I would make Pearce captain
I would not buy the parasite Lapdog and Harvey anything but we could all club together to send them to Afganistan on a one way ticket

Really can't see the point of getting Kenny. Lonners is a better keeper & neither are going to be that chuffed at being No. 2 to the other.

I am really starting to like the idea of chambers. Does anyone know whether this has anything to it or do papers now just link both leeds and ipswich to everyone available

Dwayne Chambers? Suitably quick & speedy, but he would give a new meaning to the phrase going down a line!!! Can he control a ball, or do we simply put it over a defenders head & hope a stops before clattering into the opposition goalkeeper?

Keep Snoddy as captain, make sure the rest of the "leaders" in the squad (Pearce etc.) do their own thing without needing to be wearing an armband.
