Everything points to Spain making history. Outstanding players in just about every position, won the Euro's in '08 & won the World Cup in '10. But something in me says Italy could upset the apple cart. After entering the tournament on the back of another match-fixing scandal, it could be written for them. Need to take their chances! Good goal. Lovely pass into Fabregas, who I thought might have gone too far and lost the chance, but a good cross into Silva who heads it home. 1-0 Spain and Italy have it all to do.
I thought Fabregas was going to embody the Arsenal try-to-walk-it-into-the-net mentality, but he did well in the end. Italy need a response now. Still a game either side could win. Cassano could be key, for me.
Chiellini has to come off with an injury and Balzaretti comes on in his place. Early enforced chance for Italy.
