Spain 2-1 Italy Torres/Fabregas - Balotelli. Edit...Will be away for a while after the week-end,good luck to the winner/winners and many thanks manx,it's been a great competition and a lot of fun..
Spain 3 Italy 1 Iniesta, Torres 2 / Pirlo Oh, and Italy 2 Germany 1, Spain 0 Portugal 0, and England go out to Italia in the quarter finals Simples !
Normal time, Spain 2 v Italy 2 (Iniesta, Fabregas, Balotelli, Cassano) Winner in extra time by Marchisio
Italy 2 Spain 0 And then many England fans might realise how well England actually did in this Euro Championship. Won 2, drew with France and Italy aet and once again only went out on penalties. Hodgson managed to get a solid defence and needs more time to work on the goalscoring. Agree with comments on a BBC comments web that problem with England is lack of English players who play abroad. Thus we are too one dimensional with only Premier style of play and no alternative as back up. We all want a style of play with "get the ball, then play defence splitting pass as first option" in other words no patience with possession, so give it straight back to opposition. Makes for exciting Premier and Championship but not any use at International level. If we could keep the ball longer, we could quickly become a real international force again. And how I would love City to start playing this way (the Swansea way?) Brian Clough preached this philosophy; keep the ball and the other team cannot hurt you.
Bonjour Bristol, here is the result of the MassiveAttack jury. Spain 4 Italy 2 Fabregas, Iniesta, Torres & Xavi Balotelli & Cassano Thanks for your thread manxrobin, you've done a great job, shame I missed some of the early games. Ciao
Spain 13-13 Italy (All outfield players score) I ain't going to win this league think it will be a draw so I'm guaranteed a scorer if there is a goal
