Lazio, who seem to be the player's and probably more importantly his agent's first choice, are keen. They have re-entered, offering to pay his 'buy out' fee in 2 installments (instead of the previous offer of 4). Trabzonspor still not happy though and want it all up front, which Fulham are prepared to do. Lazio remain 70/30 favourites.
Well I hope we don't spend too long pursuing him if they're just waiting for the best offer from Lazio. What about Spurs, weren't they in for him?
They were Bidley and I understand Yilmaz and/or his agent visited both clubs just over a week ago. The 'informed' view however is that we are the firm second choice behind Lazio. As you say, however we hopefully won't hang around while his agent brokers a deal at Lazio. I've confidence in Jol and Ali Mac and believe that's why they have other potential signings lined up if this one hits an impasse.
