I think we will struggle to keep hold of beever rock, he`s attracted a lot of attention in league one so once we have submitted our accounts i expect the phone to start ringing, that said i think we have the framework of a pretty good side with the youngsters adding to the mix. I think there are free agents we could bring in for instance Mcleod would be a great impact player who managed to find the net pretty consistently at Barnet!!!! with that sh*t supply well ,just a suggestion... but as you say COYB.
I'm still struggling to take this in. How on earth did "we" manage to come out of this without going into Administration? Hopefully more details will be forthcoming. I don't think any of us could have envisaged a result like this. I hope it's not a case of hearing just the good news, with the devil being in the detail. It's a real feel good feeling that I think we should carry through the season with an appropriate song from the terraces. What better song than this. if we lose beever are we gonna have to rely on mclure for the goals ,i guess time will tell on that one,as for mcleod he is a decent enough player but maybe he won't be available if and when we are able to get any players in.i agree on the youngsters,we have a decent bunch that should get a few games in the coming season.after the trusts meeting this week we may know more about the way the club is going and in which direction and we will be able to give our opinions then,at the moment we can only hope everything goes according to plan.
I reckon Waddock has got at least 2 strikers lined up that he wants to bring in, seeing as he let go of Strevens and Rendell and it looks like Beaver is on his way out. I'm pretty sure we'll have to bring in a couple of wingers as well, but otherwise the squad should be enough to pull us through. Of course, any player coming in will be on a free as I don't think we've got any money to sign anyone.
One of the comments from Waddock this afternoon on BF press was that 'You will be surprised at the quality of some of the new players.' or words to that effect. I thought he had signed all the crap players that were left over last season! Seriously though it sounds like he may have a few quid to spend, so thanks Mr Hayes for handing over the club and leaving us in a position to hopefully put together a competetive side. We will see what sort of quality Wadock can find this year! COYB!!
