Shergs Stick same - Henry hated soft ground but the dam was a mud lover - not sure what to make of him but he will do better at 3
Don't you think Dawn Approach will still stay with Bolger even if Sheik Mo buys him, a little like New Approach
I think they have bought him to stay in the yard Shergs. Just hope they dont change that and winter him in Dubai.
He will not be staying in that yard. The statement was something along the lines of He will stay with Jim Bolger for now and then we will decide what happens for his 3yo career
Just watched the 7.15 at Doncaster without having looked at the card or even listening to the lead up (doing something else). Anyway for some reason I latched on to one horse at the rear and followed it through the race. Given absolutely no chance and flew at the finish. Noted it as No 8. I won't mention who was riding. Does make me wonder.
Anyone got a view on Camelot? Back or lay? Or leave alone? Tempted to put a few puny shekels on Born to Sea at 14 on Betfair myself.
Not bad for a five runner race. Prize money would have been down to sixth, too. Shame. Born To Sea has obviously been wanting a trip all along.
Great run from Born To Sea! Camelot had his measure but the jury is still out, though he is def the best 3YO. Open company beckons now I think to prove himself against the 4 year olds.
Following on from my earlier post #228 I had to have a look at the full form for this horse (Whisky Bravo). It's very interesting to see that if you just take his form on soft (non sharp) tracks and Southwell, it doesn't look half bad. He's going into my notebook to run a big race next time he goes to Southwell. Maybe also on a galloping track on soft. PS Preferably without Spencer aboard.
Ron/Stick and any others! Would appreciate your thoughts on a horse called Strawberry something of Botti's that ran 450 Wednesday/Thursday and ridden by Spencer. Was fav but "in my eyes" Spencer gave it no run and pulled it up out of 3rd into 7th place! Had won previous race and I wonder is Spencer a dawg or is the horse? If you have the time chaps please!!!!
I think Born to sea has done very well to get as close as he has in the Guineas and St James Palace as clearly needs more than a mile.
Bluesky crazy - especially as a few people were talking him up for the July Cup including a member from this forum who I have a lot of respect for. Really is a strange sport. Love it though
