Looks as if Tan is putting the wheels in motion. Obviously some restrictions highlighted in that the TV rights will be split with other Football League clubs as per current TV deals, however the exposure we will get and the increase we could charge for branding would be ours.

Lets see how good Tan's intuition is. Can't do any harm!

This and the super cup game, was any of this on anyone's radar? I had my views on the TV thingy a few weeks back albeit a Cardiff City channel as opposed to live matches. Perhaps both are an option VT is exploring as a club channel would get viewers across the globe, how cost effective I don't know but obviously VT has contacts and the infrastructure to do both. Interesting times, as always, at Cardiff City FC.

Tan's got his own pay per view TV channel so he obviously knows that side of the business. I have a view that he'd make money outside the football club. He does a deal with the league, a small portion of which goes to us, and any profit from the TV deal goes in his pocket. Having Malaysia on the front of the shirt starts to make sense as well.

Inovative might be the word. Certainly ground breaking and from what's written, supported by the Football League.

Live games are going to be in the early hours for their viewers though.

LOL. Kuala Lumpur is 7 hours ahead of us so we need more lunchtime kick offs. Our mid week games are going to be a bugger for them though.

It's best for them to find out early that it's never easy supporting Cardiff City (that's why we do it)

A good point, and very well made, twice.
