    Dear Master Kenneth Bates,

I represent the estate of Colonel Gaddafi, former Lion of Tripoli and the greatest leader in Africa. Like you, he was a wise and loved ruler who was hated by the lickspittle running dogs of the Americans. As the Great Gaddafi lay dying in my arms, his last words to me were as following: "Please invest my vast fortune in the sleeping giant that is Leeds United, so that they can again buy some decent players and no longer have to suffer the indignity of sharing a division with the ones they call 'the Wall'. So I am writing to you, Lord Bates, humbly inviting you to share the gift of Gaddafi's fortune, which after tax totals $100,000,000,000. But first of all I need your help to smuggle the money away from Libya otherwise the thieving hounds the Americans are sure to steal it. To make safe the passage of the fortune, please deposit 30 million british pounds, plus the keys to Elland Road, into my safe bank account, which can be found at the post office in Beeston. When I have received notice of the funds I shall share with you untold riches which you can spend on beard trimmers and the like. I look forward to a positive response and am thankful that I am able to call up great men like yourself, Emperor Bates, to safeguard the money of our great leader, Colonel Gaddafi.

    May God be with you,

His Royal Highness Sheikh N. Bake.

When we're back in the Premier League we'll probably need a feeder club in the lower leagues to farm out young players and reserves to. Millwall will do.
