Tash, before you make a wise crack like last time I posted something that appealed to you, I've been listening to bands like this (Mainly Slayer, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Anthrax and to a lesser extent Metallica) for most of my life, albeit nowhere as much as I used to in the last 2 years.

 

I don't know what you're on about but great song choices

 

If I remember correctly when I posted Megadeth on here a while back, I believe it was you who said I finally posted something good.

They're my favourite Slayer songs, Angel of Death is right up there with the best Metal songs ever written and Seasons In The Abyss is ridiculously fun to play on guitar.

Don't really like the vocals in the last one, but I can focus on other elements of the song that I love. The instrumentals are awesome.

 

The vocals in both Dying Fetus and Eighty Thousand Dead sound awful to me. I do like the instrumental to the Dying Fetus song though Nothing really needs to be said about the other two as I love Megadeth and Slayer.

 

That's k I understand. I used to think they sounded ******ed, and to be honest, I don't particularly like too many death metal vocalists, I just love the instrumentals in a lot of death metal songs.

Solo at the end is epic

 

To be quite honest I just think in most death metal songs, that the vocals fit in the song. I couldn't imagine most death metal bands singing in their songs. I think growling, grunting and screaming is right for death metal.

I don't even pay attention to the word, I think some death metal vocals; the growling just sounds brutal and helps enhance the mood of the song.

Just pretend that there's a demon or something on the end of the mic instead of a man, and it makes the idea of growling a lot less ******ed.

 

No fans of Anal **** on here?

 

Yeah, I did go through a phase of actually enjoying that vocal style, but it just gets a bit too samey for my liking. But yeah, the instrumentals can be awesome at times though, which is mainly why I still give some of the bands I used to enjoy occasional listens.

Aye, it's not often I like a song too much for it's vocals.

The only style of music I enjoy a lot for vocals, is when I listen to trance music when i'm trying to wind down.

I love this song for the pure apocalyptic feeling, and I actually like the vocals, but the instrumentals are epic also.
