Obviously you are saying it as you see it but I could not disagree more with your opening and closing comment. I have enjoyed many of the rumours, the whole forum can be ahead of me when it comes to knowing what is going on behind the scenes at Elland Road, I am not Anti LUST but nor am I looking at them in the same light as you are. So-called LUFC supporters is a bit strong, I have a different opinion to you in regards to LUST OVERALL and in what they actually achieve so it makes me a so called supporter or a less of one? There are plenty on here, on facebook and on other forums who support Leeds United as much as anyone else and they too question some of what LUST say and a few of their actions, the bottom line is that it is all 'personal opinion' and having one doesn't make anyone less of a supporter.
I just hope he leaves and never returns there will be big celebrations next week me thinks when he finally goesthe parasite
I dont know how you can possibly agree with a statement that says 'believe this or your not as valued a leeds supporter as I am' I personally think that was a **** post. I actually agree on most of the stuff LUST do or more importantly their principles but if another person does not it does not make them less of a leeds fan and it doesnt make them look stupid or show them in a really bad light
I followed my own advice last night and based on certain revelations I had at around 11pm, I can confirm that there will be a takeover announced this coming week, the new owner is desperately looking for somewhere to create tax losses to offset the billions of profits he makes and therefore will be pumping sums into LUFC that will make the spend at ManC seem modest; a certain key batesian executive will be fired, but the method will reflect the culture of the new owner, and a large man sized pit and several piles of stones are already being made ready for the ceremony; Neil has been told to go away and rethink his shopping list of transfer targets as they are far too modest; the Bates Motel will be turned into the Elland Road Mosque....... there was more but to be honest by midnight the revelations were getting a bit hazy, and so good that I fear the modest intake of alcohol I had last night might have also been a factor. This morning I have a bit of a headache, by the way
I can't believe you interpreted my post as that. Anyone who does not acknowledge LUST as a catalyst role in - the "protests" that took away Ken's power, - bringing things to a massive head to force the club into understanding that the fans will not take it any longer - introducing potential investors for LUFC in answering Bates' "put your money where your mouth is" challenge, and - the very real prospect of a takeover is either - more pro-Bates than pro-LUFC and/or - just too proud to admit their previous stance against LUST was mis-placed and/or - very jealous that LUST has been able to do this and/or - upset that the figurehead people doing this have suddenly gained a respect and voice that they do not have I would be very happy to hear counter arguments. BTW, I am not on the board of LUYST, not involved with them other than I signed up as a free member along with some 5000 others, and I tried but failed to attend a meeting once. I am very happy there was someone who had the balls to put together an organisation to represent the fans and would actually do something instead of just being a talking shop. Well done LUST, keep on being the voice of the fans
LUST had nothing to do with Bates selling, it was all economics and **** all popularity contest. Bates is selling Leeds because the right offer came along and he knows unless he stuck his hand into his Swiss bank account he could not assemble a squad good enough to get promotion. Bates doesn't gamble, he takes what's on offer if it suits his bank balance. Had the money not been put on the table we'd have another year of Bates and his misery, and no matter how much singing and dancing LUST did Bates would simply crack a grin from Monaco. LUST seemed like a great idea when they formed, good to have a supporters arm interacting with the club. However, I became suspicious of LUST when they started comng out with stories. Suddenly it was them who had been approached by a consortium of businessmen who wanted LUST to help with approaching Bates. Really? Why would anyone with money ask a supporters trust that is held in contempt by the club's owner for assistance? Doesn't add up. Then there was the absolutely disgraceful "players are unhappy" statement, thrown out there but hiding behind anonimity to "protect" the players. Again, really? Am I supposed to believe that contracted players would go to a supporters trust and tell them reasons why they are unhappy and why they want to leave? Oh please!!! LUST's behaviour was absolutely shocking, and their "revelations" could have caused trouble for a buyout. Do potential owners want to hear about player revolts and unhappy dressing rooms? LUST were trying to use the investor story to further their own cause, and that smacks of selfish egos using desperate supporters to gain a bit of power. Their approach lacked intelligence, it wasn't thought through, and I for one am tired of hearing from them. If LUST folded tomorrow I wouldn't shed a tear, they can become a menace with all this posturing. I will tell the new owners that it should only recognise the official supporters club when I meet with them, as it is the best way for them to manage the customer experience properly and an effective route to building the membership and communicating with their customers.
You ridiculous little man. When the Trust release the info lodged with their impartial third-party observer, you're going to look like such a tosspot. That's all.
OK lets get this away from personal vendetta's.... So.. What rumours have you heard..? The word in the pub last night was.... £50million investment that secures the right to takeover when Leeds are promoted...
For a man ITK, Billys, you seem to know **** all, and have stopped your brain from thinking When the player announcrement was made, you made it clear you were a member and a supporter of LUST but that you disagreed with their annoucement. As did 50% of members. The other rest of the 50% have noit been a baby and thrown out the baby with the bathwater because of one perceived issue. The official Supporters Club? What is that? The Bates model of RMCs or the Ray Fell non-entity?
It seems almost certain it's a takeover now. I've only heard all the various rumours of different Middle East groups, one being that it's the Qatar Investment Authority.
If attendance was at the level it was 2-3 seasons ago, if ST sales were at the level it was 2-3 seasons ago and the cash flow was still strong, do you think Bates would have been as motivated to jump on his bicycle? The cash cow ran dry and he recognized it was time to go. Did LUST contribute to that situation? I guess everyone has a different opinion on that theory.
If they take a shot at it, they might be right? "I guess" is shorter than "I suppose" or "perhaps?" My take on it is it is a non-commital answer, so if it is wrong, no big deal. If they are right then "hey, I was right!" Or maybe it is because the weather is better and it just does not rain so much here? Yeah, I guess that is pretty irrelevant.
