After yesterday's lacklustre performance by the first team, Ranger in particular, Phil Airey scored two goals in tonights 4-4 draw with Blackburn Reserves, which (this is an estimate, remembering figures that were quoted a few weeks back and adding on the other games..) has made it around 9 goals for him in 12 starts?. The question is, why not give him 20 minutes at the end of a game? He's only a year and a bit younger than Ranger, and I can guarantee he will put in more effort than Nile did.
    And Perch scored!

If Perch scored then I fear for Blackburn's future...

I think he deserves a start when we are safe. Although if we are desperate then start him

I want to see more of Airey. I would like to see him come on for 20 mins at the end of a few games in our run in. He has a good scoring record and seems to have more ability than Kuqi, and a better attitude than Ranger, get him in!

Definitely worth giving Airey a chance though, maybe not against Man Utd though

Why not? We could have another Edgar moment, albeit a completely different position :)

It was Edgar, I'd maybe have him on the bench, wouldn't start him though.
Anything would be better than yesterday.

I'll have Edgar over Perch! He could cover the whole back four and unfortunately he was sent off in that dreadful game against Villa back in 09'may.

Another reason to be happy is that Ballotelli doesn't play for us, £24 million!

Balotelli's attitude is terrible, you never know what you're going to get from him.

Airey has to be close to a first team start, only ever heard good things about him and with being local ( Amble) he'll be ready to give his all for the cause.
