Bale out of Olympics

    It's been reported in telegraph that bale has picked up an injury and won't appear with Team GB

    This can only be a good thing for Spurs... With the new pl season due to kick off a week after the games.

    It will only be a good thing if it's a minor injury.
    An injury at this time is a bit odd.

    Glad to hear that, we dont need players wasting their time playing in the Olympics and risking picking up injuries etc

    Interesting developement so soon after signing a new contract and a discussion with Levy.

    Possible scenario, " if you want to get Spurs back into the CL as you've said, how are you going to do that if you pick up an injury for GB?, very important season for your employers Gareth, up to you mate!" <whistle>

    Apparently he has aggravated an old back and hip injury and wants to make sure he is fit for the start of the season.
