My thoughts exactly. ffs, its an end of march fixture and we are still in june. Its always been the case for years no decades that clubs move the last saturday home game to a friday night. Xmas shopping does appear to be king for many at that time of year. Derby on a friday night is not an issue at all. imo I dont even mind local mid-week away matches as long as the long haul games are a saturday. My blood is still boiling over Crsytal Palace away on a tuesday night. The west yorkshire police have been like that for years. Total dicks who are clueless. Its got nothing to do with Hull City the ko time change. I still think our game at Hudds will also change days. Huddersfield - Barnsley - Leeds does it matter. They are all clueless when it comes to football.
Did anyone see that programme on BBC Three t'other night; 'Can We Trust The Police?' They were with the cops at the Chelsea-Tottenham Cup semi-final, and there were two fans pushing each other and shouting on Wembley Way pre-match. Some jobsworth started saying how lucky it was that they intervened, as it "could have escalated into something much more serious". Fuck off. Just **** off.
I watched some of it, but switched it off after his accent made me want to unscrew my head from my body. And FYI, the correct swear filter evasion etiquette is to put the first letter in size 2, not to embolden it. Happy holidays.
Instead of all this animosity towards the police, shouldn't we be pissed off with the knuckle dragging contingent of 'fans' who can't handle their booze and think futile gesturing, posturing and abuse towards away fans is okay. Let's face it, if football fans didn't need policing, the police wouldn't be there. The police/fixture changing lark is a direct cause of fans behaviour over the years, maybe we should be pissed off with the cause rather than the current solution.
There is far more trouble at the rugby with the fat thickos being egged on by their lardy lasses to have a go. You sound like live in a tabloid bubble, airlie tiger.
This is exactly why I didn't want to see those gobshite wessies promoted - Galfarm is ****e and would have much preferred the Blunts to win the playoff final.
True. But you get my drift ? No team or fans should have to travel more than 2 hours max on a mid-week day. It simple to organise done correctly.
