Seems that I was right to predict that the takeover would be confirmed at the worst possible time for the Wobby. Hands up, it was a tongue-in-cheek stab in the dark, based on Homer's previous relationship with them. I didn't have any idea just how bad the timing would turn out to be. (last two paragraphs)
it's also official on the Udinese Calcio website, the whole of which is, obligingly in Italian, Spanish and English.
Bring on the 12-13 season and lets see that news on coaching structure and signings so we can get to know the team for this season now.
The Udinese site also confirms The technical project will be in the care of Gianluca Nani, a manager with an international experience already established, and Scott Duxbury. http://www.udinese.it/ENG/script/view.php?id=1568
I wonder if it is something lost in translation. Cos Zola has not got international exp, nor has Dychey. However, the owners have experience of owning a foreign club.
Fine if for the good of the club. With blinkers off,WFC cant be one of the more attractive propositions in football these days, and must be summat in it for the owners. Not so attractive if becomes pretty much a Nursery for any of their other interests, although guess something had to be done. Got a feeling the Dyche Must Stay people are about to have their loyalty to him tested.
I think it is the Bigger picture time... Dyche may or may not stay ... but we are in this for something more than one manager now.....
Let's say for argument's sake Dyche is removed within the next few days. In my opinion, nothing less than promotion this season would truly justify that decision.
nani international management experience, not manager in the football manager sense. With good man management Dyche and Zola could work well together.
Been out nearly all day, have I missed all of the excitement? If there was one man that I would want to steer very clear of it would be AA. I can't say what I would like to about him because it would probably have the site shut down. Let us just say that he has been heavily involved with Pompey and some of the owners.
Great news long term, potentially. Sad news short term if Dyche goes. That would be the only sour thing about the whole situation. The man deserves his shot this season.
Great for the future of our club to be clarified. I'm sure the Pozzo's will sort out the wages of all the staff at the club, even if Bassini tries to wriggle out of paying it. Seems that we will have a bigger budget then we have had for a long time, looks like Tom Heaton is on his way if the Watford Observer and other sites is to be believed. The main point of uncertainty is Dyche. We all feel he deserves a chance, even if its just for a season, let the new owners get their feet under the table, establish the club in the way they want to, and if they feel at the end of the 2012-3 season there should be a change of direction then so be it. As NNW said, only a vast improvement in performance would in any way make up for the sacking of Dyche. I feel the Pozzi's could bring some good days back to Watford. Slowly, but surely.
Come on North.Dyche goes, new manager surely equals at least a few new players. Expect it all to gel AND get promoted in same season ? Are Fridays the day you go all unrealistic ??
