We understand Watford’s staff members have not been paid as of this morning (Friday). "The staff were informed last month that their pay date, which had been the 28th for several years, had been pushed back to “around the end of the month”, which is in their contracts. But with June 30th falling on Saturday, the staff were due to receive their money today. " Thanks Baz what a great guy you have proven to be be. I hope you can sleep at night knowing through your actions your staff arent getting paid.
He has not done anything wrong here!! If your contract says you will be paid around the end of the month and you get paid on the 29th then there is nothing wrong. People just get used to being paid on a set date.
Still not see anything on SSN, I know they are not Baz's best friend but you would have thought even little old Watford would get a mention about a takeover
I doubt there will be anything on SSN until it is official on our site! Don't want another Bas hissy fit! As for the wages, I guess it is just bad timing that the takeover has been around payday. Bas probably would have wanted the takeover done before payday, and can't blame him too much that if the takeover was 'imminent', that he wasn't going to put his own money to do it. If you had agreed to sell your car, would you pay for the MOT? Hopefully it will be the new owner's first priority to make sure everyone is paid asap! It's exciting times for the club, and let's hope everyone gets on board. They seem to be owners who do it right, putting money in the right places and you can see why Watford would be an attractive prospect to them, with our Academy! I'm hoping for a small investment on the pitch with a large one off....
