I think perhaps you need to check your history books.

Hull City have spent most of their existence in the 2nd tier of English football, we dropped down to the lower leagues between 79 and 85, then got back into the 2nd tier until 92, when we fell off a cliff and spent 92-96 in the third tier, then 97 to 04 in the 4th tier. You're probably a youngster, who only ever remembers Hull City being in the lower leagues, but I'm afraid your recollection is a long way from historic reality.

Edit - Just happened across a summary of our seasons in each division...

    Total years 96
    @ Level 1 2
    @ Level 2 55
    @ Level 3 29
    @ Level 4 10

So you've spent 39 seasons in division 3 and 4?

Remind us how big your club actually is again...

Im on about the current generation, when they was young Hull wasnt in the top divisons so they went and supported someone else. It doesnt matter if you agree or not, just look at your attendace figures

I was merely pointing out that your assertion that Hull City 'have always been in the bottom divison' was not accurate(or spelt correctly).

Yeah, in case you haven't noticed OLM, we're the only professional club in Leicestershire. The population of which is 955,300. So that kind of blows those stats away.

In fairness, if you're in East Yorkshire, you support Hull City. Unless of course you're supporting Grimsby or Scunthorpe that is.
The other Yorkshire sides such as Sheffield(s), Middlesbrough, Leeds, Barnsley, Huddersfield etc will have their fan bases. But we would have most of East Yorkshire behind us too. We filled the Stadium every week in the Premier League, obviously that changed with relegation, but should the Stadium increase happen, I think we'd have 32k plus at least.

I went to Uni in Yorkshire, and everyone I met from East Yorkshire supported Man U. But everyone I met from Leicestershire supported Leicester. Admittedly, we were in the Prem and you were, I believe, struggling to stay in the football league, but that was certainly the case ten years ago...

There is a lot of Glory support around here too, but undeniably because of our lack of trophies and top flight football etc. When it comes to it, everyone eventually does go to the City games if it's a big game. I have friends who support Manchester United but they come to games like Leeds, Middlesbrough etc.
The point I'm trying to make is, should we start getting good results and challenging where we should be in terms of the Wage bill, the people will come back. Unfortunately, crowds only come with success here.
But at least we aren't like Middlesbrough and Barnsley... They're stadiums are ghost towns. Though Oakwell being empty doesn't surprise me.

I have family in Yorkshire and I've never seen a Hull fan about. The only time I see them is when we play each other.

Anywhere in Leicester or Rutland you'll see Leicester fans, got to be a 1m population catchment area. Of course there are glory supporters, but ( like you say) that changes with success.

As such I firmly believe that with top 10 success we'll easily fill 40k+ in the PL.

Debate solved. We're both similar clubs but more Leicester fans can be seen around Leicestershire due to past success. Both Clubs are at a similar level. We both have a good financial backing, we're both aiming for the Premier League and would probably do well with Stadium improvements.

    We're a bigger club?

I don think Hull could ever become a club as big as ours, like Danger Dox says, you can buy yourself a 35k stadium but you've got to be able to fill it. I can't see you doing that.

<doh> I refused to put all Leicester fans under the "arrogant and egotistic" category like most Hull City fans, but it's getting harder and harder.
We don't have a Stadium as big as yours due to a poorer history. In more recent times however, we've become a hell of a lot more better, with Promotion from League 2 to the Premier League in 5 years and now being an established Championship side.
Every home match in the Premier League was within at least 2,000 of the capacity, and if we upgrade to around 38,000, I for one believe that we would get at least 35,000 should the team be doing well and fighting for Promotion regularly or being in the Premier League.

We have a 32k stadium that we filled every week in the PL.

Not being arrogant, just stating facts.

And had we have had a 32k Stadium in the Premier League, we may have filled it, but we couldn't obviously due to the fact that our Stadium capacity is 25k.
We can't have more attendance than you, if our Ground is smaller.
This Stadium was built whilst we had just spend our 18th or 19th year in League 2, and not many Clubs had a Stadium built like that in the bottom League. We fit 50+k into Boothferry Park at one point.

    Want a medal?

You said between 2k? We get more than that in this league. We got like 30k average towards the last few months of our recent Play Off season..

To say we're comparable is an insult.
