Apparantly Owen has been snubbed by a club from the UAE as they feel he is 'going downhill'
What a great career move that was when he left us.
Will never forgive him for joining manure and it looks like championship football for him at best from now on.
A classic case of greed being more important than career.

How long is it now since he left, geez get over it! If anything we should thank him because since he left us he has had perhaps 1 full season at Real in all that time, financially it was a great move for us! So thanks Michael for being a greedy coont!

It is funny but nothing we didn't already know, he's been **** now for what 4 or 5 years! What a great bit of business in hindsight we must have saved a fortune on him in that time!

Agreed, would have been playing about 10 games a season for us if that and sitting on £120,000 a week.

Still annoyed that we only got £8m for him at a time when he was considered one of the top strikers in Europe.

    Serves him right - w@nker.

  7. To be fair to Owen, leaving Liverpool looked like the right thing to do at the time. Nobody thought we would go on to win the Champions League any time soon, never mind two finals, an FA Cup and a league challenge within four years. He said from an early age that he wanted to try his self abroad which he did by going to Real Madrid. Man Utd was a chance for him to challenge for honours, he would have been crazy to turn it down despite it being Man Utd. Considering he has since picked up league and european medals, it probably is now in his mind too. Its all in the past now, remember the good time he gave us, same goes for Torres <ok>

What did we get £8M and Nunez?? ****e business, all because he had ran his contract down, little welsh ****.

His catastrophic failure does make me smile. Strange that for a taff, the only thing that ever mattered to him, was playing for England. He was obsessive over that.

I would hate McManaman just as much, but his mum died as soon as he moved, so God got him for being a **** to us. I still think he is a ****er though.... But he never went to the mancs...

Owens been going down hill since he left us (ok after his first year at Real). His Ego has prevented him from stopping the rot, first choosing to sit of Real's bench instead of trying to move somewhere he'd play, then going to Newcastle for more money and where he thrown back into first team football too early cause they were desperate, then going to Manure to complete the rot not even sitting on the bench.

His ego will now stop him from doing what he should have done after leaving Newcastle, Dropping down a division, dropping his wage demands and working to help a team gain promotion.
My guess; QPR would be the only English team to be stupid enough to take him or he'll be off to some far flung corner of the world (China, USA or Russia)

Will never forget finding out Owen had left in a 'dream move'. This makes pleasant reading!

Yep I think you have it about right. What a waste of a football career, when you think back to how he burst on the scene for us and England he never reached the heights we all envisaged. Another Kewell in my eyes the only saving grace is somebody other than us as helped make Michael very rich whilst getting very little in return.

From 1997 to 2003/4 Owen was the reason Liverpool were even considered a force.

Yes he left you guys and not in the nicest way but he gave you a **** load while he was in your colours. He went to madrid, very few say no to that. It didnt work out but when he played he scored. Barring injuries he would of been a major success even if he was only playing a bit part at times. At Newcastle he joined a club in turmoil who were run by a moron at the time.

After that Man Utd came and made him an offer. If you half think it might be the end and then United make you an offer, I dont care who you are, you accept it. ****, even Gerrard would if he had done something like Owen and left.

Its ****ing hilarious how you guys become so bitter towards former players. Appreciate what they did for you and Owen did quite a bit. Including single handedly winning you an FA cup against Arsenal when you seemed down and out.

Bit of a difference. Hes in the same vain as that **** Tevez. Or Heinze.

    Owen is more like Ronaldo.

Massive difference in what they did.

Had owen slagged Liverpool off none stop and gone to United or Everton then fair enough.

Bit of a difference me arse,Ince was instrumental in winning Utd's first league title in 26yrs.

As for Owen slagging LFC off,he did when he stated he was never a Liverpool fan and only stayed at the club as long as he did to make his family financially secure.

Laughing at someone because their career was hampered by injuries....... pathetic. Laughing at a player who single handedly made Liverpool a force...... insanity.

You are biter about it purely because he was so good for you, the exact same as it is with Torres....up to the point Torres started calling the club. For that reason Torres deserves all the stick you guys give him, had he gone and just said he enjoyed his time but felt it was time to move then ok, but he, like Tevez and others couldnt keep their ****ing mouths shut and had to slag their former teams off, teams that made them the players they were.

Owen was an Everton fan who gave his all for Liverpool, moved on after winning several things with you and usually because of him.

If Gerrard had gone Chelsea how bitter would you guys of been?

He wasnt a Liverpool fan. Wayne Rooney isnt a Man Utd fan. Hes here to earn money just like all footballers. Did Owen give his all or not while at Liverpool?

Also Ince was slagging Fergie off and acting like he was something special. Just like Tevez. So yes, there was a huge difference. Tevez once helped us to a Carling Cup, hes still the biggest **** in history.
