So finally we have a face to go with the name. He appears to also be a master shoe salesman as well as FM expert, property developer and Michelin star chef. Did I miss anything? Also, he's got Richard Branson in his circle you know ;-)
How was Jaidi's strength only 16 last year? It should have been at least 20. Davis was poor in FM12, I think he should and will be improved across the board. Apart from that year last year was pretty much spot on, as reflected as a lot of people manage to get Saints promoted without too many signings and without cheating. (HOADIE excluded)
Yeah that seems pretty accurate. I've never been able to get Lambert to score as many goals as he has in real life, but despite that I can't really fault his attributes. I have a feeling that the game engine disadvantages the slower target men, and gives too many chances to pacey poachers.
The match engine is a little flawed when it comes to fast, strong players. Agbonlahor is a prime example.
I had Lambert score 21 goals once, but out of himself, Sharp, and Lee that season, Rickie scored the least.
I suppose most of our players will go up in ability a bit now that we are up. MLG do you know what changes they are making to the actual game?
I've had far better results with him as a deep-lying forward. I decided to give up on trying to get him scoring loads, and tried to get him creating goals instead. As a result, he has the 2nd-highest number of assists in the Premier League.
Just read an article on how much difference it makes to have a youngster tutored by a player with "model professional" personality. In short, it's a lot. Everyone buy Benayoun!
Support. My theory is that, if you play short passes with a 4-4-2, then a target man/poacher combination is going to leave too big of a gap between the midfield and forwards, and the target man just won't get the ball. Seeing as the poacher gets all the chances on this game, it makes sense to have his partner drop back and bridge that gap, therefore providing him with a ton of assists. It's worked very well this season.
Fox's corner-taking increased; he was rated a 14 in '12 from the looks, and I'd consider him to be at least a couple points better than that. On the subject of Gillingham in the Prem, they're threatening to achieve just that in my game...one point out of the playoffs in late February at the moment. No sugar daddy (total cost of all transfers over eight seasons: less than 1m), no feeder club status. Hoadie's getting upstaged.
