Plus we had a fun time going to grounds we've never been to... Walsall, Cheltenham, Southend... You'll probably know them like the back our your hand.
I bet you didn't go to any of those grounds, did you? Possibly Wallsall? You don't bother going to Championship away games, I can't see you schlepping all the way to Southend.
I didnt go Walsall but i went the other 2 Cheltenham was a great day out, very friendly people down there, we smashed them 4-0 and Even Matty Fryatt scored a free kick Southend away i will never forget. Not for the match which we won 2-0 with Fryatt getting both but that was the day we officially got promoted and won the league in the same day Memories
Walsall and Cheltenhham away both 4-0 wins. Walsall on a tuesday night, Tom Cleverley's first goal for us. Cheltenham on a lovely saturday, I think Fryatt scored a lovely freekick and Lloyd Dyer scored twice. Southend was the game in which we secured promotion, Fryatt scored twice including a penalty. Just because i've already been to your ****hole and didn't fancy it again doesn't mean I don't go to away games you mong.
I just happened to notice last season, that when I got in from games and came on here, you'd been posting right through yours. Probably on a 3G enabled iPad from the stands.
You mean my iPhone? Yeah, I do like to post from time to time. Didn't go to nearly as many away games as i'd have liked to have last season. What with it being so pricey now and money being short. Still managed to get to a few though.
Speaking of memories ... http://www.fox-photos.co.uk/men_behaving_badly_g59-over_the_top_p317.html If the link works the rather handsome chap on the top of the fence with his hand raised is young FosseFilberto .. the guy to the right just getting to the top is my cousin ... now they really were happy times .. 15,000 away support that day ...
Not yet there isn't!!! the mag (The Fox) only released their archives last week so it was the first time I'd seen it .. but uncannily I was just exploring purchasing the A3 version as you were responding! Another of my cousins (a female) sent an e-mail back saying she is now using it to help educate her young son on where being naughty leads to! My own kids were quite amusing ... the 12 year old yelled to her 7 year old sister ".. quick Daddy's famous, he's on the internet!" .. she wanted me to give her the link so she could bring it up on the school computers to show her mates ... my other half vetoed that right off!
At least there's no bloody drum, cheerleaders, Poznan's or anything else that's **** about modern football(other than the rather naff 'Wise Men Say' before kick off). And what were you doing sat out during the warm up, what do you think the concourse bars are for?
Who care what Phil Brown says ? He has nothing to do with Hull City. And AKCJ posted last season he doesn't go to away games. Which he will now deny. But whose bothered ? ? ? No one
I dont know about your end of the ground but they are tiny down the away end. It was too congested in there
It's quite a good picture, brings back some memories of the days when football was about the fiercely tribal following of your team to various godforsaken ****-holes, while throwing large lumps of baked clay at the oppo's coaches. A couple of years ago there was a Hull City Activity Book, with a page headed 'What's this fan shouting?', with a full page picture of me screaming at the ref. Unfortunately, my veterans football team found about the picture the day before we travelled for a pre-season tour weekend in Cromer. They bought all the available copies and the picture kept appearing on various lampposts and night club toilet walls throughout the weekend.
Not many people can afford to go every away game. I know for a fact i wouldnt be able to. I go to all the home games and try and got to about 6 or 7 away games a season. Its bloody expensive after you have paid for tickets, travel, food or even taking the day off work.
