You rarely get over 20k now? What on Earth do you think will change that? You're starting to sound like an idiot...
More interesting football now boring Nige has gone, bigger signings and the prospect of Promotion maybe? And I can see being compared to TWS hits you hard, I'll stop the comparison before someone cries.
Boring Nige? More boring than Barmby? Didnt think so. I don't even know why I'm arguing this. Hull won't ever fill a 30k+ seater stadium week in. Just plain truth.
Barmby at least made us attack. Not play it sideways across our defence and try and play as though we were the away team at home. Barmby's Hull City was much more entertaining to watch IMO.
How many goals did you score under Barmby then? Seeing as you were so attacking... Compare that with how many goals we scored.... You talk out of your arse mate.
I don't know what thew big deal is here. Managers always look to players than have done a job for them in the past, so Pearson will inevitably look at Hull players. Just like how he took Hobbs, Fryatt and Waggy to Hull. It happens. Clearly, we made little progress in Jan due to the unprofessional attitude of the Allams, but the heat has cooled now and you have a new manager who may want to offload players like Koren, either because of his age or his wages demands. I'm sure if Bruce wants him, he'll stay, Nige is just letting him know we'll have Koren if he's not in Bruce's plans.
Scoring the goals doesn't necessarily mean it was more entertaining. Under Pearson, it was usually 1 goal games anyway. Under Barmby we began to move towards the oppositions goal more and create more chances. Therefore more entertaining. How can you go against what I'm saying when you wasn't at games under either of them? You're going by goals alone, you talk out your arse.
Agreed. No argument there. The only problem is, he's making it obvious that he really wants to unsettle Koren because if Koren was going to leave, Reading have already offered £750,000 for him. So Koren would either be taking a step forward or sideways and we know which way he'd go if he had sense. Pearson clearly just wants to get rid of some competition for promotion in the League by making our players heads turn. He knows Koren is a main goalscorer, therefore if he isn't scoring goals... Dirty tactics.
Goals get me out of my seat, get me chanting and jumping around = Entertainment. Chances missed get me out of my seat, get me effing and blinding = Frustration. I know what I prefer.
Defenders passing it in a sideways line, with no real progression towards the opposition's half = Suicidal Team advancing up the pitch, creating chances = AT LEAST gets us out of our seat More than 1 goal scored = More times to jump around cheering
Yes, but would he get start regularly for Reading? I'd say no. Therefore, he may prefer to stay in the Championship, and it'll come down to whether Hull still want him or not. I really wish you lot would stop with this "trying to unsettle the squad" business. It doesn't even make any sense! There are many clubs we should worry more about than Hull. Cage, you're one of the more sensible Hull fans, don't let yourself down!
How many goals did you score last year? Your players are **** in front of goal. You either set out like England did and try and grab a goal and defend or you have a go an lose Hull knew they didnt have the players to attack so they shut up shop Unlike us who attacked scored alot of goals and conceded a few. Boring 0-0's like you get isnt entertainment. Losing 3-2 to Watford while is disappointing its entertaining Peterborough get smashed quite a bit but they hammer some teams aswell. Entertaining Hull sitting back for a 1-0 win is boring
Perhaps Barmby struggled to get the team scoring despite being more attacking because he had to inherit Pearsons defense-minded team mid-way through the season? And the comment about once playing Atletico Madrid and Red Star Belgrade is embarrassing.
Anyway, is this the same Robert Koren, who said he enjoyed the goal aginst Leicester (which won our goal of the season) the most because he wanted to get revenge on Action Man (Pearson)
Whats the problem of NP going back for players that he bought to Hull and turned them around, they have proven that they have the ability at this level. The fact is we wouldn't be having this conversation if Pearson had failed at Hull, and he just wants to continue his success with players that he knows.
We have a bigger fanbase then Hull. It's not an argument it's a fact. Look at the attendance figures Back to Koren. Surely SKY have got their numbers wrong. 500K won't even be considered. 1.5M maybe will be accepted
